I've recognized a pattern where I wake up with a slight amount of dread that I'll never escape the fiat rat race with my family. I'm not certain if this feeling will ever go away?
Regardless, I've also discovered that my actions suppress this fear as long as they are true. I continue to stack sats, learn protocols, and align my tool box with my beliefs. Every time I learn a new skill, the fear is muted.
Abundance may come, God willing. I need to ensure that I am prepared and worthy of it when it does. At the end of the day my family is happy and healthy, so perhaps it has already arrived after all.

Dude, that is so cool. I think we could be long lost brothers 😂. I used to ride downhill/enduro all the time when I was a little younger and more repairable. Too many injuries to keep going, but maybe casual riding in the future with my sons.

We're on the same situation. I have a great spot on south facing slopes for solar but not enough exposure toe be reliable. I'm getting the feeling a mix between a tri fuel hi output generator with something like an ecoflow Delta battery would be a good start.

It’s Saturday evening, the generator is humming outside. Wife and kids are warm, enjoying a movie by the fire. Both are supplied by propane. Extension cords all across the house powering Starlink and Zootopia.
It was a chainsaw kinda day. Got to cut some trees to clear roadways. Spent time setting up our power to at least save our meat and give us some creature comforts for tonight. It’s getting cold and dark but we will be fine.
24hrs of dark quickly shows how dependent we are on energy and proof of work. Those are systems worth investing in, not like systems of the state. They will never save you, in fact they hate you. So send them hate back by being completely independent from them.
We spent a lot of time outside today, free. Stacking energy and proof of work to provide for ourselves.
Plus I can still spend Bitcoin under my own power, can’t be stopped.

This is funny because in the Core vs. Knots debate you see plainly who the VC funded influencers are. Why can’t Core just roll back the op_return limit in their next release? Clearly it’s been met with contention and should be thought through a little more? Oh wait, there’s VC interest behind the data being added to the blockchain.
Always be mindful of who the influencer you are listening to is getting paid by. This is why I just like talking to plebs, we are interested in Bitcoin as money only, no other incentives. Most of us have day jobs that are completely unrelated. Or perhaps just riding on our stack. So we just want Bitcoin to work as money, not some shitcoin that will bring revenue to our VC project.

I’ve been thinking of Nostr in this fashion. Since our notes are signed by private keys and relayed forever, it serves as a collection of our thoughts and emotions over time that are uniquely ours. Having your own relay on a private server gives future generations full access to “who you were” at a time in place.
A private AI model could train on all of your notes and become you over time certainly but I’m still hesitant at this stage in the AI game. Although it may be inevitable that AI models go rogue and do this for us whether we like it or not.

My take is that we ourselves have to become the content we wish to see on Nostr. Who else will do it?
I’ve followed many different people on YouTube during my life, learned and even met them in person. Some of them were banned, some are no longer living. If they could know now that there is an open protocol where you can post anything at anytime and receive instant payment in the hardest money on earth they would say we are crazy for sitting idly by. (Get up and do something while you’re still breathing)
Nostr is a hollow shell without people filling it with communication, thoughts and productivity. Bitcoin does not get mined without proof of work. Again who will be the one bringing what you want to see to Nostr if not yourself?

Jake, as a fellow father with aspirations not far from yours I agree this is one of the hardest challenges of going full BTC maxi. We have some major moves we’d like to make in the coming years but Bitcoin could be up 200% or down 60%…
I know this isn’t conventional Maxi status but I feel a good strategy is to hold capital that needs deployed in <5 years in STRC paying 11% yield. Then all capital to be held beyond that in cold storage BTC. Every plan is different of course but I believe this gives good security and cash on short term deposits while still getting the BTC gains. Just my thought. Who knows what will work in the end.

The same on outbound zaps I try to send other npubs too. @nprofile…stwz has been testing for me and some notes there is no issue, others the zaps fail.

Awesome man! Yes turns out I was sick again for the match so the training was very realistic haha. It’s part of life with 3 young kids. I understand about motivation, and if this helps I will absolutely keep bringing it to Nostr. I would like to encourage others to create content related to anything, hunting, hiking, shooting, camping etc. It’s some of the most important skills I believe free people should have. If we can’t take care of ourselves physically, are we truly sovereign?
Glad you’re getting back to it and I completely understand the age burden. I am mid 30’s and enjoying the youth I have left. Come to the states anytime and enjoy whatever you can set your mind on. Outside of our own rifles we also shot light machine guns, suppressed AK47’s etc. all as part of the stages.

I’m with you. None of my extended family or friends can relate to the idea of sovereignty, true freedom or responsibility. Nostr is a small conclave of people who get it. I try to get answers from people here and in Bitcoin. Aside from that I’ve learned a lot from Doug Casey. His show Doug Casey’s Take has a lot of relatable mindsets towards current events and life overall. I think we are all so sparsely located that the internet is our only way to have community.
