That was a great read, thank you. Some childhood memories in there, and thoughts of the parody I wrote for my university newspaper. Curious whether either of you got into the recent reboot/extension of the original show.

On the bright side, they do ask about your books? Granted, writing is a side job for me, but very few even ask me about it.
Also, not to excuse it, but I know that the last time I really had spare time was maybe the year 2019. My reading list is never ending, I can maybe manage a book a year. Such is life.
Look for the support where you can find it, if it's not with friends. Communities, other illustrators, what have you. All the best. Also, congrats on publishing!

For things to take into consideration? It can be real hard to get noticed, even more so these days. To keep the readers you have, I'd say you absolutely need an update schedule you can stick to. Which means if you're not doing seat-of-the-pants, that you start with a backlog. @npub17cr…e970 even has enough buffer to fire parts through beta readers, which is a great idea.

I've been doing serial fiction online for over a decade. Mostly on my blogs, though I've tried Wattpad (weak engagement) and RoyalRoadL (somewhat better, may return) in the past.
I have both serialized works that I publish bit-by-bit and seat of the pants writing, a new 2k words every couple weeks. That last is literally based on reader votes, as I have no set ending. Rarely get even 5 votes though, so maybe not what you're thinking.
