Any news on if I need to create a new key?

What’s your favorite #nostr app? I’m still learning about nostr and just curious about y’all’s preferences. Pros/cons of one app versus another?

Sounds good! I’ll just wait until I hear from you 👍🏻

😆😆 Yes! So I’m on Primal now, and I think I’m in all the same relays that I am in Nostur. But I still can’t follow anyone 🤦🏼‍♀️ So I haven’t tried to set up a wallet yet in case I have to make a new key.

May as well 🤣 Sounds convenient!

🤦🏼‍♀️ Yeah I also just noticed that I still don’t have an option to follow any of y’all on Nostur. Again, not sure what that means, but hopefully it helps. If I need to create a new key, at least I really haven’t done much with this one yet. Thanks again for the trouble shooting!

Just my luck 😆 Thank you for looking into it! I decided to try Nostur (which is where I’m replying from now) and I have been able to add relays just fine here! I’m not exactly sure what that means in the back end of things (I’m not very tech savvy but I’m working on it 🙈)

No not yet! This has been my first foray into the world of nostr.

2024-03-15 13:54:28 UTC

I was hoping to use an app so I could easily access nostr on my phone. But maybe that’s just not a very efficient way right now.

2024-03-15 13:51:23 UTC

I tried doing that on your profile, and when I try to hit the “add” button next to any of the relays, it does nothing. And I’ve tried manually adding them by typing them in and adding them with no response from that either. Even deleted and redownloaded Damus!

2024-03-15 13:49:40 UTC

- reply

It shows “online” next to 3/4 of the relays that I was automatically put on when I downloaded Damus. Or at least that’s my understanding.

2024-03-15 13:00:33 UTC

I can’t get a follow to stick! I can follow a user, but next time I open the Damus app, I’m not following them anymore and have to try again to follow them back. Anyone else having this issue?

I’m here because of a TikTok video describing nostr, but I’m glad I learned about #nostr before the possible ban 👌🏻

I think the U.S. govt wants that real bad. But I really hope the Senate will rule against the ban. It’s not about national security. It’s about the govt not being able to control us and control the information we’re shown. But considering the corruption in our govt, it might happen.

#nostrnewb here! 🙋🏼‍♀️
I’m unfamiliar with bitcoin lingo, relays etc, so I’ve got a LOT to learn. I’m not very tech savvy (even though I’m only 27, so I probably should be 😆) and have only ever used mainstream social media platforms like #tiktok #instagram #facebook #discord #twitter (or #x now). I have a few questions for the #nostr community:
1. What are zaps?
2. How do I find different relays and what relays would y’all suggest?

The blowing dirt is flaring up my allergies and asthma, and when I hear myself wheeze, I know it’s time for a spoonful of onion syrup!
It’s such a simple, natural remedy that sounds much worse than it actually tastes 🤣
🧅🍯🧅🍯🧅🍯🧅🍯🧅🍯🧅🍯
Layer chopped onion and honey in a jar {onion, honey, onion, honey, etc} and let it sit for 24 hours. Then strain out the onion, and you’ve got a natural remedy for respiratory health! You can even add garlic, ginger, whatever you’d like to change up the taste or add extra benefits {garlic = antibiotic; ginger = anti-inflammatory}
It helps a cough, respiratory infection, allergy inflammation, asthma inflammation, you name it!
It works because onion is a natural expectorant, and both onion and honey are natural immune boosters, anti-microbial, and anti-inflammatory! It’s a much better alternative to mucinex or traditional cough medicines. And the syrup calms a sore throat too! If you can get local honey, it will help allergies as well!

First #nostr post! I ended up here because I’m all for getting away from social media platforms that unnecessarily censor their users.
