So I’m a vintage person and I love vintage stuff and when I started to work for her that was her main direction by the end of that she was moving someplace else crafts and bullshit like that but in those three years everyone got to know me she let me run her whole business when I left. There were people that didn’t even know who she was and thought she was me. When I opened my own event? That was not on the same weekend that was on the north side of Chicago not even close to the same train line she could not take it. She could not take the idea that I could’ve gone off on my own and done it. And then she was just such a bitch that I had to because but she loved to tell people that she created the Vintage garage I’m like yeah bullshit you never could’ve done this. And after a few years, it turned out we did have completely separate customer basis, and my dealers were newbies, and basically I would train them and they would go to her show so she did nothing but benefit

Oh my god that’s so narcissistic. I was under the impression because I’ve really worked for myself for 26 years. During the 26 years there was a three year period where I worked for a lady named Sally. Sally was the most narcissistic psychopath I’ve ever met. She was delusional. She’d have these incredible ideas in her mind in the middle of the night where she’d email like 20 people. Let’s do this. And whatever it was, was guaranteed to add nothing into our event to our attendance to bring in more vendors. Absolutely nothing. And then the best advice I ever got was from the other girl who worked with us who told me when she does this you don’t have to answer everything. If it’s a real idea that sticks and she wants to do it it’ll be back until then. Just ignore. I’m thank you. Good call . So the lesson there is, you don’t have to answer everything.
