Thank you, but the credit should go to @nprofile…zqdh in @npub1rzn…r4ly who did the onboarding of Tax Free Norway at Oslo Airport, and @nprofile…h03q who runs the online store cyberita.no 🙏🏼

Today we’ve added two merchants in Norway accepting freedom money, and the contrast between the two is quite striking:
The first is the Tax Free shop at Norway’s biggest airport, Oslo Airport—making it the first airport tax-free shop in the world to accept Bitcoin as a medium of exchange.
The second is a small, mountain-based online store by @nprofile…k9ry, called cyberita.no, where you can buy tactical knives for everyday use. Bitcoin only, with every order timestamped by block height.
@nprofile…6twe had to verify the latter, so a tactical knife was ordered, keeping Gunnar busy with a new delivery ⛷️🏔️

DOOR 21
Today is the fourth Sunday of Advent, and also the fourth competition in our calendar.
Behind today’s door we find the Norwegian bitcoin-only company CyberHive.
@npub1u3c…03c3 produces high-quality bitcoin heaters that both heat your home and reward you with bitcoin — a true win-win.
You may think that mining is only for professionals and no longer makes sense for individuals. But everyone needs heat in their homes, and most people in Norway use electricity for heating.
So why not use a purpose-built bitcoin heater like Hive Zero for heating?
Check out their website:
http://cyberhive.no
CyberHive’s goal is a more decentralized Bitcoin network through bitcoin mining in every home, and to contribute as much as possible to this peaceful revolution.
When we told them about our Advent calendar, they liked the idea so much that they decided to give away a stack of bitcoin books they had in storage.
One lucky winner will get to choose 5 books, and we’ll also draw a second-place winner who will receive 3 books as a consolation prize.
How to participate:
1. Follow @nprofile…a8ua and @npub1u3c…03c3
2. Like and repost this post
3. Answer the following question:
How many different products are sold in CyberHive’s online store?
PS: this competition is run both on X and on Nostr, and the winners will be picked randomly out of those either correct answers (or closest to) to the question.

(We’re marking today’s door as an advertisement to be on the safe side, as the undersigned
( @nprofile…hlc4 ) recently received a discount when purchasing a Hive Zero V2.)

DOOR 18
Behind today’s door we find @nprofile…vugr . Since block 745497, they have helped both businesses and private individuals with, among other things, secure bitcoin custody, multisig setups, and bitcoin payment terminal integrations.
It’s hard to thank @nprofile…uuqe enough for the work he has done onboarding Norwegian businesses to the Bitcoin network. His curiosity and strong inner drive to deeply understand the technical details have given him an impressively high level of expertise across the Bitcoin ecosystem. Just as important is his ability to make complex, technically advanced systems understandable, practical, and tangible for each individual client — which is why Satoshi Consult is a consultant we confidently and wholeheartedly stand behind.
Advent offer:
Satoshi Consult is now offering a 21% discount on consultation hours when booked during December 2025. An offer that’s hard to overlook if you care about your stack and want better control over your self-custody.🔑
Consultations booked in December 2025 will be delivered in Q1 2026.
To book a session, visit their website:

Okay, we have to admit something..
We’ve had an Advent calendar going on since 1st of December, highlighting our favorite Norwegian Bitcoin merchants and companies.
But guilty as we feel, it has only been published on X.. That has to change, so today’s door will be broadcasted as a note, transmitted by relays first, and then as a tweet on X a little bit later on.
We will also publish a summary of the other doors we’ve previously opened on X, because we think many of you lo find value in them, even if you’re not Norwegian.
Let’s go! 🧡

Norwegian Pension Fund vs. Bitcoin: A Journey in Price and Value 💰🪙
• Value Increase in NOK: +426%
• Value Change in BTC: -99.96%
The Pension Fund’s value grew significantly over the last decade, from 3,800 billion NOK in 2012 to 20,000 billion NOK in 2024, a 426% increase. Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s price rose from 80 NOK to 1,058,900 NOK per BTC. This means the Oil Fund’s value, measured in Bitcoin, fell by 99.96%.
This highlights Bitcoin’s potential as a hedge against inflation and weakening fiat currencies.

This image shows how a price increase of 144.5% has impacted the value of 1,000 Norwegian kroner from 1988 to 2024, which now equals 2,445 NOK. With #fiat currency, you lose purchasing power due to #inflation, whereas #Bitcoin is designed to protect against such devaluation over time. A currency that can’t be printed infinitely is key to preserving your purchasing power!
…and remember, this is based on the CPI as the calculation basis…

Let’s take a look at the price development of a 500g pack of butter over time:
•2013: 30 NOK | 0.06 BTC
•2016: 35 NOK | 0.04 BTC
•2019: 40 NOK | 0.001 BTC
•2023: 55 NOK | 0.00013 BTC
While the price of butter in NOK has increased by over 80% in 10 years, the price in BTC has dropped significantly. This highlights how fiat money loses purchasing power through inflation, whereas Bitcoin stands as a deflationary alternative.
Btw, for all non-Norwegians reading this note:100 NOK is currently equal to 9.23 USD and 8.47 EUR
