I was about to reply to a specific post but I don’t really want to target a specific creator, so I’m going to ask: why do so many YouTube creators think it’s a good idea to insert a stupid expression from their face in the video preview?
It makes me think the creator is unprofessional, that they hope to attract viewers through their image rather than with good content, that they will keep that stupid face during the video etc.. I 99% skip and click somewhere else. Am I alone?

I started wit Yakuza 0. It was fun.. until I found out I couldn't save whenever I wanted. This frustrated me a lot because I can never play for long and risking to loose my progresses completely put me off. So I asked a refund 🫤

I just switched to the annual @npub1zq5…dlp2 plan.

they recommend FUSE-T but reading around it doesn’t seem to be stable enough. MacFUSE is much more stable but a PITA to install on MacOS (I use it). My recommendation is always the same: cloud storage (even encrypted one) is not a backup, we should always have a regular backup (I do it with borg + vorta + BorgBase and an additional copy on a local SSD disk)

I don’t want to sound dismissive (I’m a ChatGPT Team user and I use it daily) but I’m honestly not impressed 😕 animation feels unnatural (no effort to make the animal use the cycle, environment seems like a rendering etc…)

I've never been against federating with Threads, but if following "user@threads.net" also means I will see ads in my timeline, I will 100% unfollow that user or block the whole domain 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is #ClaudeAI Pro worth paying? I used the free version this morning and it was quite good (using Sonnet 3.5) but after 5 messages in a single conversation I had already reached the limit.
Pro version gives me 5x more usage, but imho it seems quite a low allowance (5 x 5 = 25 messages in total).
My conversations with the Team version of #ChatGPT are much much longer than that.
I don't want to pay 25$/month and be restricted like that 😕

One thing I struggle with #Playwright is the possibility to reuse steps.
Yes, I do use fixtures, a lot, and I reuse a lot of code with this, but often all I need would be to reuse existing steps to combine existing flows in a different way.
With behave (which I'm migrating away from) it was much easier to reuse an existing step.
Has anyone solved this issue yet?

@npub15wd…rte4 random question: what is your backup, or better setup, strategy when using a Raspberry?
Ie: suppose the RPi serving your app with web server and PostgreSQL “dies” (yes, you are allowed to touch wood 😅), how do yo restore the whole setup?
I used to dump a working image of my PiHole years ago, so I would just replace the SD card and restore everything (minus data, but those can be backed up differently), but I was wondering if a better method exists.

yeah and if you want to host something, you can easily “tailscale funnel 3000” and get a public host pointing to that device/port, it’s amazing

I just started using #Tailscale and I confirm it’s a really nice product and very easy to use!
I know I’m very late to the game but I didn’t have any opportunity before. I think I knew about this service when it was still in beta.
I was able to connect all my devices in no time and even an old #RaspberryPi 2 which I recovered from the dust. SSH was configured in seconds.
I will probably write a detailed blog post but that’s all for now 🙂
