Is that actually an iOS issue that every now and then I have problems with my clients (yes, in plural)?
- Incoming DMs that are only visible after days;
- Not seeing notes that you earlier saw on any of your clients or sometimes on one client yes, but not in the other?
- zaps sometimes not being sent even though you first saw the badge under the note…

Nobody asked for my opinion and maybe some people will have better ideas to add up, but as a PO for a Nostr client, I wouldn’ see much value in on-chain zaps.
But f they’d need to exist for a reason as “we’d like to be able to send higher amounts of sats per transaction”, my requirements would be to:
- check feasibility of creating a built-in online wallet that is decoupled from npub/nostr nsec. It shouldn’t be mandatory for all users using the client, but rather an optional feature, with the Lightning wallet (native or connected via NWC) being the standard. Its acceptance can be requested at the setup of the client, but it should als be available in the settings for users who decide to adhere later;
- ideally, users could be able to connect their existing on-chain wallets of choice to the client as an option;
- enable silent/ anonymous payments or ideally enabling the possibility of generating single-use addresses, decoupling transactions from Nostr npub;
- The user should receive an alert about the fees involved before confirming/signing the transaction;
- The transaction would only be feasible to another on-chain wallet (but I understand this is already the case).
- of course in a decentralised system there will be no terms of service or liability, but there could be some kind of tooltip or FAQ explaining to non-tech-savy users what is the difference between on-chain and Lightning to enable informed decisions.
What would you suggest?

Today’s homily touched me profoundly. It was a sermon interpreting the Gospel of Jn 14:15–21, focused on how we are never alone when honoring God’s words and commandments.
Two years ago, when my world was falling apart, I witnessed that myself. I was lifted up by many people I hadn’t seen in a while. I had my friends, I had my kids, and I reconciled with my faith. That gave me the strength to move forward—to rebuild my life and rethink my choices and behavior.
So even when people sometimes ask me if I’m lonely, I can honestly say: no, I’m not alone. And I’m learning to walk again, letting others approach me and neither closing myself completely, nor falling into dependence.
I cried today — I know I’m a crybaby, lol — but it was a deeply emotional topic to hear and reflect on in the quiet and focused moment of Sunday Service.

I’ve been more into rather older bands like Genesis (before the Phil Collins era), King Crimson, Yes, Jethro Tull, and some other artists solo work like Peter Gabriel, Steven Wilson, Aviv Geffen - and some of their projects like Porcupine Tree and Blackfield… but very thankful to discover other artists as well. The only way of not being forced to pay off inherited debt is to decline the inheritance completely. This should be taken into consideration if the financial health of the deceased person is unknown, as an inheritance from someone who owed more than what they owned turns out very expensive for the beneficiary.

One of these days, I was talking to someone about being (negatively) triggered by how this person who used to be in my nearest circle in the past behaves toward me and I heard a great response: “You know how he responds to things. Let him exist outside of you. It then won’t affect you as much as now.” And to me, it made completely sense. Let the past be the past and be more aware of what you’re building in the present.
One beautiful thought - also because this conversation happened in my native language, Portuguese: In PT, the same word (“presente”) means both “present” and “gift”.
