The only way of not being forced to pay off inherited debt is to decline the inheritance completely. This should be taken into consideration if the financial health of the deceased person is unknown, as an inheritance from someone who owed more than what they owned turns out very expensive for the beneficiary.

Tonight I had to talk about grief with the kids. I was comforted when I heard my son say that he was sad and will miss the person we were talking about, but he hoped “she’d be well and in a better place now.”

One of these days, I was talking to someone about being (negatively) triggered by how this person who used to be in my nearest circle in the past behaves toward me and I heard a great response: “You know how he responds to things. Let him exist outside of you. It then won’t affect you as much as now.” And to me, it made completely sense. Let the past be the past and be more aware of what you’re building in the present.
One beautiful thought - also because this conversation happened in my native language, Portuguese: In PT, the same word (“presente”) means both “present” and “gift”. To this point, they told me: “You either suffer for the past or for anticipating the future. Look at your present and see your anxiety is gone. Take your present as such, as a gift.”

No problem at all, I understand your point and really appreciate the link. I’ll check your printables, she loves painting and arts and crafts. We do a lot of that together as well. As well as playing with analogical stuff and enjoying nature and moving :)
I know that those apps are not the best practice for learning, I am a linguist myself and understand those language learning or acquisition processes, and I als work with digital products and have the backstage of how they’re developed.
I’m trying to find a balance there, keeping an eye on time, content etc. we have a kids’ device and she doesn’t have permanent access to it… it’s challenging and I’m trying my best and I appreciate we can exchange about that. Have a great day! 💜

Fair point. I recognise it’s good for vocabulary memorisation, though. But like most apps out there, the dopamine kick is probably most attractive perk. Good that her time on the device is limited anyway :)

Post GN fun:
Kid 2 asked me to allow her to install Duolingo on her tablet (she’s 8 and can only access a limited number of apps and actually no site, unless I unblock it via parental app).
Well, she sees me doing Duolingo, I allowed her to do it.
She starts learning chess to beat her father in it (her words.)
And she starts a freaking Portuguese course.
(Brazilian) Portuguese is my native language and I have been speaking it to her since she was born.
She of course, gets everything right in the course.
I’ll give up trying to understand it. 🤣 let’s see how long her streak goes. I doubt she’ll beat mine, lol.

Morgen laufen wir hoffentlich wie geplant in Würzburg mit dem @npub1jr8…wwnw. Ich muss aber aus gesundheitlichen Gründen während des Tages abwägen, ob ich morgen laufen kann. Yesterday’s Meetup in Aschaffenburg was fantastic - as my experience so far within Franconia region. Open-minded and very intelligent people that teach me so much. Also great to see some familiar faces again.
Tomorrow, we’ll hopefully walk the talk in the BitcoinWalk in Würzburg. As I’m a bit unwell today, I’ll check how it goes until the end of the day. Please keep an eye on our Telegram group, cause I’ll inform you until tomorrow morning in the group chat there if I cannot make it. :)
