I saw someone else describing using a separate set of AIs for the different tasks; they basically built a team; some writing a spec, some reviewing it, some managing the tasks and some coders, with some code reviewers etc - but they didn't have the formalisms.
Whether stuff will come back to be run locally as opposed to in a cloud is difficult to say; generally in computers there's a cyclic nature of whether stuff is remote or local (see Sutherland's wheel of reincarnation)

Are you sure - I see you're using a Ryzen? My Ryzen 3950x can do ECC; AMD ones often can - whether your motherboard can I'm not sure.
(I bought 2nd hand ECC server ram from a refurb company about a year ago; with ECC I'm less bothered about buying 2nd hand)
(It really feels like you should be able to draw a broken Ram)

Do you think your v2 pelican prompt is perhaps giving too many hints? The mention of 'must have spokes' and 'characteristic large pouch' feel a bit too much - I was wondering if something like 'must show the normal details of a bicycle' etc might be more challenging?

'labplot' is actually interesting now I've got it working; it's easily able to interactively plot a large graph with no trouble and interactively fiddle with it. It's also got a 'computational notebook' which I'd heard of but never played with before; it's quite neat - in the Python shell, creating any numpy variable appears in the GUI and then it looks like you can apply any of the graphing/analysis things to it.

Ooh I got it apparently working on Fedora 43 - it's got a dependency of 'qt6-qtbase(x86-64) = 6.9.1' but 43 has 6.9.2 ; installing all the dependencies and then installing that with a --nodeps and ... it seems to be working. hmm.

hmm, I intended to try 'labplot' but am not getting anywhere; Fedora 43's package doesn't install. Debian trixie's seg faults on startup. It doesn't build from git on Fedora 43.

The JLR one is tricky because their parent company is Tata Motors; so I'm assuming that using TCS is 'keeping it in the family' so feels more logical to them than to others. But I'm also confused, there's speculation that JLR lost it due to salesforce, so then is it entirely unrelated to TCS/outsourcing at all?

I think this might be a 'fish eye'; with Xanthan Gum it's common and forms these gluey chunks, It sounds like essentially the same problem:
'Fish-eyes are agglomerates of partially hydrated powders. The tough outer layer prevents the complete wetting of particles within the interior. Once formed, they can be difficult to disperse and will float on the surface of the batch.'

You can also use 'perf record' and analyse the data later with 'perf report' and a bunch of other tools. There are also some GUIs to examine that data; I'm told Firefox can produce a graphical view of that same data; see: https://profiler.firefox.com/docs/#/./guide-perf-profiling

Resistors wouldn't necessarily work - remember it's a matrix; so we power up one row at a time; if it used resistor that would flow through your row and then back up columns to (a random number of resistors) on other rows so would then be dragged down by those back to 0 (assuming the other rows were pulled low).

A while ago, I think it was [@mos_8502](https://studio8502.ca/@mos_8502 ) that mentioned diode matrixes as old ROMs, I think with a picture of an old computer board.
The thing with Diode matrixes is you could make them yourself - here's one my dad made probably in the late 70's, holding morse code for his callsign and common phrases (probably a CQ etc) - I've not decoded it yet.

I'm glad you've bought this up - it's been a pet worry of mine for a while. To be fair I think cloud-connectivity is something that's hard to avoid for non-techies who want to be able to just control/check the solar systems via mobiles; there needs to be some standard about how to do this non-centralised.
