yes. if it detects claude code or codex then dave turns into an agent coordinator that replicates agent sessions over nostr via the private notes spec. i just configure the DAVE_RELAY to be my personal wireguard relay so i don’t get rate limited.
Then when i walk away from my laptop i can continue the sessions on my fold phone on damus android

for what i was trying to do it was not for me. Maybe its fine for people building projects where they don’t care if it is successful or not. positive effect of attracting devs, that’s about it.
If I were to do it again i wouldn’t have taken jacks advice and continued with VC so that i wouldn’t have to have opensats and people who want to see me fail direct the future of my company.

the relay-less note renderer now supports profile rendering via cached profiles on damus.io
as we can see this note that was censored on the fediverse is now visible, with full profile.
the entire note is encoded in the link itself, so it can no longer be censored even if it was removed from all relays.
this also makes note deletion impossible

my OS is saying #notedeck is using 6GB of ram but its really not. this is because it uses an avanced form of caching for performance: it effectively loads all of nostr into unused system memory that is easily reclaimed by the OS if it needs it (virtual memory).
unfortunately OS's don't communicate this at all to the user :( it just shows 6GB instead of the actual reserved amount which is about 400MB
it's kind of neat knowing 2 million notes are loaded into my system's page cache ready to be queried using local search at RAM speeds :D
you can't do this with browser apps, this is only possible with native code. another reason why notedeck is so much faster than other clients.

might still be worth loading profiles from a profile cache somewhere (like a relay/notecrumbs). if it can't load profile then it just falls back to rendering a profile pubkey? will add that next.

have you actually compared size tho? notepack stores tag binary for hex ids, so it may be worse for notes with lots of id tags

yeah probably, notepack was more for efficient/simple binary encoding and less about packing the size smaller (probably bad name)

shouldn't be too hard to load profile json from damus.io links as well, since you can fetch profiles as json using notecrumbs
