I think that it could be up and running no later than general connectivity can be restored to a sufficient number of backbones. A lot of bitcoin infrastructure lives near the backbones so it only takes like 50 or so nodes all there and without a partition and it's back in action.

A lot of the internet, namely optical cable runs and undersea cables will keep running. Some of them are accidentally or intentionally shrouded in a faraday cage, or are entirely underground/water. I had a looming debanking problem, with my current and only bank in limbo with a proof of address problem that I can't find a solution to before I have need of the banking services.
The solution came in finding another eastern european neobank that accepted my application and now I have a payment card connected to my google wallet.

You need a real camera because our eyes distort everything in the middle of the field to look bigger, and as well, our eyes have a much wider angle, nearly 180 horizontal, about 160 vertical.
Using the zoom feature can help but you will never get a photo of the moon that looks like what you see with your eyes without massive zoom, and a very wide angle lens.

When I was migrating my android stuff to another device, I saw some crazy shit saying that some people don't like using cables.
For migrating data from one phone to another?
Insane, the USB C cables can do 10gbit. Best you gonna see on a wireless connection peer to peer is about 300mbit. Literally 30x slower.
Anyone who prefers to move their data from one phone to another over wireless can suck my balls.
And it was extraordinarily complicated to do.
In fact, it only migrated the app data, I still had to re-download the apps, even though it could have transferred them as well.

The sheer amount of bullshit regulation going on these days around taxes and banking is getting to the point where a lot of people are at risk of becoming unbanked if they happen to lose documents and anyone who is in transit is very much at risk.
Meanwhile, even my Wallet of Satoshi was easy to migrate to a new phone, and they DGAF where I live.
If they did, I wouldn't use it any further.
I'm applying that razor to everything now. The only thing that I'm gonna make any effort in this direction is banking and for now, that's no problem. I've been saying this about water for like, nearly 20 years. They are blaming carbon to sell contracts with the government for tax breaks and tax allocations for these boondoggles, like wind power and solar power. Neither of these technologies are anywhere near as efficient as coal/gas/oil/nuclear.
And they are now doing this also to Nitric Oxide and Methane because these are two gases released by meat animals poop, in order to enable them to get big tax breaks to make synthetic vat grown meat.
Again, neither of these technologies are even vaguely more efficient. The amount of energy required to produce solar panels and wind generators is greater than the devices ever release in their average lifespan. The amount of water and energy required to manufacture artificial meat is at least 5x what is required for grass fed beef (and note, grain fed beef is less efficient than grass fed)
Everything that is going on in the world right now is completely against nature and economics and thermodynamics.

It's epic trying to change numbers and addresses on the internet with important accounts these days.
Steam has been always a hassle for me, and doubly with their new steam guard. I disabled it yesterday and now I am in a ticket with support. They expect me to remember a credit card I used 6 months ago, that I don't use any more because I moved to Xapo. A revolut virtual card, could even have been a one-time card, so there's no way I am gonna have any record of it.
Xapo bank is being a pain now too because I accidentally input my previous address and let my phone send them my GPS coordinates. Which is far far away from the address.
So I gotta wait for these things to clear up before I can use these services again.
These days you can be unpersoned by simple mistakes. It's getting worse and worse.

I am in one of the most retarded time zones in the world. At this time of year, just on 1 week past the autumn equinox, the sun should be rising and setting at what should be half way to midnight/noon.
Here, the sun rises and sets at 8, fully 2 hours ahead of the real solar time.
It fucks with my ability to calculate what I should be doing.
So, I am setting my timezone on my computer to what reflects the nearest thing to the actual time, fully 2 hours behind.
On my big angry walk 2 days ago, I observed that the last bus service in my area passed me at just past midnight.
I was scratching my head, thinking, how is it that this is normal, to be awake until midnight on a regular basis?
Ah yeah, 2 hours behind that would be 10pm by the sun, and that's pretty much normal. 9-10pm is the natural time for a human to go to sleep. With 8 hours sleep, one then will be rising at around sunrise.
That's basically what people do here.
I used to think it was weird how a similar thing happened when I was in eastern europe, why everything seemed like it opens and closes an hour later than I thought it should by the clock.
It's because the stubborn slavs also refuse to obey fiat time and after the government changes the clock to be an hour ahead, they changed their working hours to be an hour ahead, thus nullifying the problem.
This is a perfect illustration of the real results of everything that is imposed on people that is contrary to nature. The healthy, strong and stubborn humans just ignore it and do what is natural instead.
I mean, you seriously can't do this DST regime at all if people's clocks were sundials. What, you gonna tell everyone to rotate their sundial anticlockwise 30 degrees last sunday of march and october?

Today will be my first full day sans caffeine in years.
I know I am gonna probably suffer some headache but it's gonna be worth it.
Gonna be drinking salty broth from stewed beef neck (including sections of spine) a lot for a few days, that should help.
I got a really bad cramp this morning in my right calf muscle. Once it settled I immediately went to the kitchen to have half a teaspoon of sea salt washed down with water.
Caffeine metabolises to uric acid in the blood, and this thickens the blood and makes it prone to getting slow and congested and causing conditions like gout. I had gout at one time.
One of the difficulties of recovering from alcoholism is that it messes up your kidneys normal elimination triggering. Increasing salt intake helps a lot. It's one of the things that I think caffeine keeps its hooks in people who are alcoholics, because it compensates for the messing up of the natural diuretic process by artificially forcing it.
I'm sure that this broth will help a lot.
After I've chugged through all of it I suppose I'll be dicing up the stewed beef and frying it in butter.
The broth is covered with dripping as well. I am starting to really love beef dripping, it makes my skin soft, my hair soft, it tastes damn good...
But I'm pretty much off all forms of carbs now. I probably will eat potato chips once in a while, hand cut and fried in beef dripping, but it's not a good food anyway. Better to just eat the beef and be happy.

This vulnerability to behaving like this increases when the victim's endocrine system is messed up. That's why fluoride, that's why vaccines, that's why refined, high carbohydrate low mineral low vitamin diets, and why their penultimate vulnerability causing diet fad is veganism.
Vegans have less capacity to resist being persuaded to act out the will of the psychopaths who seek to control society.

Any time I was watching TV, and there was a remote, I was on that mute button every time, and I liked to look away and talk to the human beings around me. In fact, that was part of the point of it, when it was muted, the deeply interested persons in the room were ok with me talking.
To me, muting isn't stopping something, it's just diminishing its sensory impact.
You all people have got so used to actually PAYING for your advertising with cable TV that it seems logical that muting doesn't often actually cause the irritating crap to be removed from the display.
Just as muting the TV doesn't stop the irritating visuals.
Of course, just like the people who were sitting watching their ad-riddled "Pay TV" they didn't get why I didn't like it.
The most common term for it is hyperacuity. A genetic feature (not a bug) that I inherited from my mother.
Advertising was like a smack in the face every time, because they either deliberately made the program quieter, or, as they were forced to do later by "laws", they used compression filters on the audio. Jewellry just gets lost or tangled, I avoid it. This from someone who once had about 10 piercings. I would maybe now wear my septum again but only if it's an 8mm diameter titanium segment like I had before I landed in prison a decade ago.
I can't even stand wearing a watch, that's the most annoying non-clothing item. I definitely would wear one as a necklace though, only if it's very durable and small, and ideally, mechanical.

For the 100th time everyone's promising to leave.
The red line for me was when I was no longer able to exclude advertising with the introduction of "promoted" posts. Plus I had shortly before that seen a paper that examined how their algorithm treated "alt right" users, hiding most of their follows content, and I was getting bored shitless scrolling and the two things together galvanised me.
I hope some more leave but I look at the quality of people around the place these days and they are so despondent and submissive, most of them will be back, and will start to pay for their manipulation directly.

Also I just want to add that I have had a lot to do with them over the years. I played at being a rent boy for a while, but I most certainly was not lured into it. I'm just curious and I also had no idea how else to work around the problem of what the school system did to my ambition to study computer science, and I had a girl ... it was a nasty business.
But the point being that I'm not saying this as someone who hasn't had intimate contact with the culture as well as having observed the marks of it all around, the toilets in the city parks, various other signs of creepy things that I learned later were creepy for a reason.
I also was the son of a man who had been molested, almost certainly, by an aunty and possibly a teenage child of friends of the family, who showed an inordinate interest in my preteen father, and he did some creepy things to my sister as well. I saw signs of it in my primary school, I have to admit actually I was drawn towards all this because of my having had contact with it within my family.

I sincerely doubt it. It's an imprinting failure, usually caused by older, basically pedophiles. IMO. I saw this creepy stuff lurking in the corners and in certain places for years. Public toilets were notorious for this.

This is baked into the way DMs are done in the protocol currently.
It would be very simple to break the chain of associations by including a "use this key for next message" in the messages and then every new message to and fro uses new keys each hop.
It's not even difficult to make this work with an async protocol, but this is how I designed Indra to work, with additional multi-hop onions to enable hidden services. It only needs to have the clients cache a few of the last received messages in case somehow one doesn't get through, the user can retry with an old key. Yes there is probably a DoS vector in this to try and catch the IP addresses of origins to bypass this but that'ls why Nostr - and bitcoin, indeed LN also, are successful - they don't try to solve every problem in one protocol.
That's exactly what Victor is doing with his work here.
It's not "privacy invading" to let people know that the protocol has zero privacy, but exploiting it is. Even if it's to "protect" users. Better to spend that energy finding solutions for the protocol if you ask me.

Taurus, the home of Pleiades and Sirius. It's easy to find it, so long as it's up during the night and not in march-may, when it is close to the position of the sun. Just look for the brightest star, so long as it's not near sunset/sunrise, you will home in on the correct location.
I've always been fascinated by the appearance of the Pleiades, and those who know about stories associated with Atlantis, it is said by some to be the place where the Atlanteans went to wait out until their return.

When I first arrived in Bulgaria in 2012 I tried the Big Tasty. It was the best McBurger I'd ever eaten. Then a little later I had "Punjena Pljeskavica na Cumur" wrapped in a Somun with buttercrunch lettuce, with Ljutenica and Kaimak.
If you really want to taste the best burger in the world, that there I just described is the 100% best. The patty is about 5" diameter, is a mix of beef, lamb and pork, and has cheese in the middle of it, the "bun" is a turkish style batter non-yeast thing sorta like Pita but more like a stiff pancake, and Ljutenica, it's like tomato, capsicum, onion and chilli, and idk what else, probably thyme, parsley and similar, it's like Ajvar but with lots of chilli.
As far as where to get the absolute best version of this in the world, it's not Serbia, but Bosnia, the Cevabnica in Banja Luka make it more or less the same but with bosnian ingredients, which are the best quality in the world.

The Autumn Equinox is today. This is one of the two days of the year where for everyone on the planet, the day and night are the same length, 12 hours.

Well, I think that this lower back pain I was getting is bleed-over from pain in my kidneys from dealing with these toxic sugars.
I thought that it was just because my abdominals were imbalanced front to back, and I've been making some effort to strengthen my front with sit-ups, but eliminating these toxic sweet things seems to be a huge step to eliminating them additionally.
Now when I look around at people, I see so many people who are fat and in clear and constant pain from consuming sugars. The fat ones can't even breathe properly with all the fat constricting their breathing tubes, and adding so much extra weight to their bodies.
I dunno about you, but I think there couldn't possibly be any benefit to carrying around 20kg of extra weight.
That's the standard amount of weight allowed by airlines for your basic cargo bay luggage. Try lifting 20kg up sometime. That's how much extra weight people are carring around to be defined as "overweight".
Is it any wonder they are constantly breathless and don't want to move around very much? I don't really blame them but if only people would learn that there is no such thing as good sugars, except maybe lactose, unless you don't have the genetics for it.

Humans thrive on a diet of milk, since the genetic mutation that prevents the lactose metabolism being turned off after weaning.
Vegans and other manufactured food cults like to make out like there's something "weird" about drinking the milk of other animals. None of these people have ever seen how the cows, sheep and goats just keep making milk if you keep drinking it. They don't realise that humans do the same thing, even, for around 2 years if the milk is consumed every time it builds up.
It is truly a gift to our species that we can continue to consume this amazing food into our adulthood, and having been on a diet consisting of 2L of milk every day, I'm more lean and muscular than I have ever been in my life.

I dunno if you have read "The Apocalypse of Yajnavalkya". The section relating to these perverts was what was shown in Mark Jeftovic's blog, but it goes into a lot more detail about the history of this. I have been reading a lot of C++ and Python code in the last few days and they are pretty awful and unreadable too. Although, there *is* comments to the effect regarding the C++ code that was especially bad. It's the libsecp256k1 library in Bitcoin Core.
Really. Really. Really bad. How did this epically bad piece of code never get fixed from BITCOIN CORE???
The python was Peter Wuille's BIP 340 reference implementation. Only 14 months since nobody did anything about it but at least not 13 years.
Always good for me to see how it is on the other side of the fence. I wouldn't change to another language even if you paid me $500k/pa. I already have enough grey hair. Dealing with the outdated, unwise, "expressive" syntax of other languages would just age me at an abnormal rate.
