I would not say that settlers are always invaders or attackers, but they often are, or supported by them. You can be both. Looking at known history, settlements have very often been related to invasion at some point.
I agree there is also manipulation in wording though.

I think I do. I like this definition (translated from french): freedom is agency upon yourself.
In my opinion, (free) time is both a condition and a result of freedom, as is the disposal of your body. It's intertwined.
I totally agree about emotional adulthood that I am growing consciously now (why so late in my life?).
I am not sure I could have worked on this if I had not have a forced blank time in my life, and growing this let me choose how I use my time with more freedom / consciousness.

If learning and using freedom tech requires too much time, doesn't it become alienating too?
Many people will actually find more freedom in using proprietary tech because it gives them the most direct access to the free use of their time.
Until their attention gets stolen of course.

I like to explore the road that could lead to anarchy. Here is a fisrt and short draft of how I see things now, this is an invitation to thoughts and oppositions.
From where I am, capitalism does not answer, because of the accumulation of capital that equates to accumulation of power. Communism as we have seen it (rather state capitalism or state monopoly) does not answer because of the centralised control that equates to centralised power.
So the central question is how to prevent the accumulation and centralisation of power.
My current thoughts point to a balance between a pool of commons and private property while offering freedom to all.
Commons would include at a basic layer things that support life and society for everyone (land and its resources including water, air, open source softwares). They should be administered democratically through direct democracy or random draw for representatives. Local scale and multi-layer is important for decentralisation, focus and competition among jurisdictions (communes, counties, drainage basins...) that could decide to create new common or not via public services they want. Revenue generated from conmons could replace taxation and fund basic incomes to eliminate poverty, prevent enslavement and guarantee people could pay for sustaining commons.
Private property would be for everything else (buildings, companies...), and would be de facto limited by not being able to appropriate commons, and by introducing a balance with an usage property (through cooperativism or in between models). This is important to avoid once again the concentration of assets, thus power.
Free markets and competition among democratic entities and privately owned businesses would "regulate" all of this.

Je défends l'idée que le capitalisme mène de lui-même aux monopoles, qu'il a été dès le départ du capitalisme de connivence. Les lois créent les monopoles... ou les arrêtent. Les monopoles se créent aussi et se maintiennent par des stratégies privées anti compétitives.
Et cela existait avant l'inflation monétaire fiat. Le cas de la Standard Oil me semble bien représentatif de tout ça.
A mon sens, l'anarchie est plus une philosphie et possiblement un objectif qu'une voie. La voie vers une vraie anarchie est complexe.

Oui, j'attaque l'argument par les deux côtés : d'une part une infime partie des patrons est milliardaire, d'autre part je trouve discutable de considérer que tous les milliardaires sont des patrons (ça dépend de la définition qu'on retient de "patron").

Je ne vois pas dans cette BD une simpliste opposition créateur de richesse / pauvre salarié exploité mais des questions sur c'est quoi (et combien) la richesse, quelle création de richesses sont positives pour la société, qu'est-ce que ça fait d'avoir autant de richesse concentrée.
Oui tu es toujours libre, mais être libre est un peu plus compliqué que juste aller créer sa boîte quand tu as été formaté depuis tout petit dans un système manipulé par ceux qui ont le pouvoir, c'est-à-dire les plus riches.

=> la théorie du ruissellement ayant clairement été démontrée fausse, taxer les riches auraient au moins le mérite de faire plus circuler l'argent, ouvrir des opportunités à plus de gens et construire plus démocratiquement un monde désirable.
Mais le problème principal à mon avis est que l'accumulation illimitée de richesse induit une accumulation de pouvoir incompatible avec une société libre, sans parler d'anarchie.

Par ailleurs, je suis quasiment sûr qu'on peut être milliardaire sans être patron. A moins que patron se résume à payer quelqu'un pour gérer sa fortune, ce dont il est difficile de se passer à ce niveau de fortune, j'en conviens.

Hello there, I have not been here for a while.
Cooperatives are indeed a key element, but does not alone prevent the accumulation of power. They do limit it by distributing the property of assets.
Which brings the question of the limits to private property, as not all assets are work assets. Plus some assets give their owner tremendous power on other people (especially land and what comes with it: water, energy and materials supply, or in another field crucial structural software).
So at one end we would need to limit the accumulation of power and put some assets in "commons" (be it communal land stewardship or open source licence), and at the other hand we wouldn't want anyone to be at the mercy of some other peoples, so it would require to ensure basic means of survival to everyone (I personnally favor unconditional basic income(s) as a proven and freeing channel).
I also think the hypocrit political show should be eliminated as even in some forms of cooperatives you find it. Solutions for that can range from direct democracy to random draw for decision making that requires collective thinking and decision making.

I can say of myself that I am a pretty naive person. I tend to believe spontaneously people when they tell me something.
I can also say of myself that I am relatively slow to understand. I tend do ask naive questions when the meaning of something is not clear to me.
I happen to be mocked for this.
For a long time, I believed that I was the issue. I did not have enough legitimacy. I did not have enough culture. My questions were poorly phrased. I was simply not enough.
However, despite my auto-repression self protective system not to look dumb, a part of me would occasionally find the crack to let a silly question go out.
It was only when I was able to go over the embarrassment phase, when I found the courage to insist, or even ask further questions to understand better, that I could realize that the person in front of me actually did not have the answers. That their understanding was quite superficial. And that their mocking was essentially their own protective system, a reverse mirror of mine.
Those experiences, first unconscious, are what let this part of me keep a tiny room.
As I become more mature emotionally, I can see it with more clarity. Accept it. Stand by it. Love it. I even chose to give it more space.
We should never be afraid to ask questions.

My current short answer would be: by establishing themselves as the state.
It is still a work of understanding in progress, but as I see it, modern states are byproducts of capitalism, not opposing structures.
The following note dives into it.
I would add an historical perspective that modern states and democracies were established by what I would call a oligopoly of bourgeois employers accessing power thanks to the industrial revolution and creating a settlement institution for themselves. In the name of the people, but with an entry price (cens).

I totally agree.
What I am looking for is indeed a free society, and the question of what would be the necessary foundations for it. So I have looked into many systems and anarcho communism seems to be the closest thing to a free society I have found.
What brought me there is the often missing question of how to prevent a few people to take power over others. If this question does not have a solid answer, we can open spaces for freedom only until it is overtaken.
Anarcho capitalism fails to answer this (how to prevent monopoly in a free market).
If some people fall under the power of others, my freedom is threatened by this growing power.
In order to be lastingly free, I need everyone to be free too.

Words do indeed carry a lot of weight, I agree I should take care of that, knowing that I need them to communicate with others and call a cat a cat. But this is the main issue. What are we even exactly talking about when we use words such as capitalism or communism? We all have our own biased perception. This takes work, patience and commitment to define and refine the right words to communicate with others and pass this biases. This work I am willing to do.

I do not agree with that.
Ruling by fear and violence is what we human are constantly doing, with this tale that this or that violence will be the last. But it will not. It always creates just another cycle of grief, pain and violence. Offenders have children, families, active roles in communities. Furthermore, fear has very often (if not always) been proven ineffective in the long run.
But I would not expect spontaneous change in the goodness of aggressors' heart. And I really like the idea of a clear removal of violent people, as stated in your other post about matriarchy. I absolutely agree we need this.
I would rather suggest a real investment of the whole society on this cancer, at least giving a choice: surveiled real therapy or capital punishment. Just as we should investigate more (or just stop blinding ourselves) on the roots and causes of cancer. Learn, do prevention, and treat.

Not sure it answers directly your question, but I am reading Graeber & Wnegrow's The Dawn of Everything: A New History of Humanity, and one point is that the human experience has been way richer than commonly taught, and we have already reached high levels of cooperations in very different ways. One way to get the "right" balance seems to have been to embrace seasonal changes in semi nomadic peoples, like getting the institution for big/huge gathering (winter) and destroying it every summer, with different mechanisms such as rotating the winter ruling tribe...
But modernity is very different especially in that we have less and less individual space to split and are mainly settled... Anyway these experiences can be sources of inspiration to resolve our current paradox: alternating rulers (not the same as voting for them), alternating the very structure of society...

My first computer was running on windows for 5 years.
My second one on macos for 12 years.
My third one is the second transitioned to #linux.
Fisrt installed kubuntu. Struggled to make everything work (especially wifi and touchpad gestures). Got insecure for adfing many packages and user rights, and fed up by the ui and the multiple layers of information (and forums) to go through. Learnt a lot though.
Then started over with #ubuntu, ready to fight. But everything worked like a breeze, no further "manual"/cli action to take.
It feels like windows vs. macos on ui and ux.
On tracks for 12 more years?

Yes it's hard because of the social-political environment.

It's maths. Fixed emission per block forever makes relative increase of money supply tend against 0 (0%).
157K/18M=0,87%
In ten years, 157K/(18M+157K*10)=0,8%
Etc.

How could something agreed upon be theft? If you know the inflation rate for ever, you agree on a possible (but not necessary) loss of value. It makes fiat inflation really different from Monero inflation.
Another innovative way to manage this with a predefined inflation rate is to use two units, one being the currency as usual, the other being the currency corrected from inflation. Coming back to this question, I had a personal breakthrough thinking of limits, thank you!
My main point being that no limit to power makes anarchism impossible, in that case power being essentially capital, how would you limit the concentration of power-capital without governements/states?
If you could design the main asset of such a society to be anti concentration, you might have something that holds.
If the main asset is money, and you distribute its creation for ever, then no one can cease it all (or an overwhelming part of it) and you get a balance of power by design.
Cryptocurrencies give a great advantage to defence via personal holding of private keys. Bitcoin does that. This advantage is reinforced by privacy.
As for distribution/creation, it should be infinite but with strictly limited inflation. Monero does that, but the more advanced work I have seen on this topic is "the relative theory of money", only in french here: http://trm.creationmonetaire.info/index.html
All of this makes me actually think that under certain conditions, anarcho-capitalism could be a thing...

It's ok, nice of you to admit.
From what I understand, combining anarchism and capitalist makes you abolish the state and let free markets organise all aspects of society, based on the foundation of private property. So on top of that everything is based on private interactions (private courts, private police, etc.).
Being closer from this or other forms of anarchism is your say. For instance you can have anarcho-communism, which is based on commons but with no centralization by a state. And a lot of possibilies between the two.
Other people argue that the state is inevitable if defined as how people organize together as a society... In this case the question becomes how to have an anarchist state, ie a state without a ruler.

Ok so I understand you are not actually defending an idea of anarcho-capitalism but capitalism and rotation of power, just as it is right now, is that correct?
I agree that interventions can make things worst, but I think this is especially the case when it enables a minority to take power.
Also, there is a sweet contradiction here as every shift is the result of some people (in a given context) wanting to intervene to realise their vision of the world.

Free market alone does not prevent violence without something ensuring balance of power.
Otherwise, any way is good to arise, and if it is violence, violence it will be. I am sure we can have a free market of violence in an anarcho-capitalist world, but is it what we want?
In a way we already live in this world, anarchy among countries with the ones with more capital dominating the others, and being replaced as new empires arise...

Nokia could not have an army because governments seized the monopoly on violence and were capable of enforcing it. And maybe Nokia did not evaluate properly the risk for their business, and other reasons.
Patent infrigement does include governments, but it was pushed by private companies, especially Microsoft. Big companies use governments as a tool as much as they can. If we were to dissolve governments with no common and strong governance alternative, I think they would just establish new ones under other names. Some nice new banana republics.

I agree. And I don't like governments either. But I think it is a question of balance of power. As long as competition is actually free, this can happen. But there is a shift when one actor get enough power to kill the competition. I think governments/states have played a role in maintaining competition in some areas with antitrust laws, and have also killed it in other areas.
I just don't see how private justice could be as effective at balancing power and limit its concentration in an anarcho-capitalist world.

Maybe it is not obvious, but many military interventions in history were lead by private capitalist companies pr rich men armiea. From civil wars in the Roman empire to colonisation of Central America, India, etc. and more recently western interventions on Africa serving private interest (intricated with geopolitical ones).
Depending on the donations of the super rich is like depending on the will of kings... You do not agree? You loose it. This has also always happened in non capitalist contexts, but they are/were not anarchist.

In today's world, capital = power, so unlimited capital = unlimited power (more or less). Trusts already lobby and pressure governments to kill competition. Would they stop killing competition if they had even less limits?
Is it more likely thats for instance Apple and Google would be kinder to independent devs and comply with private justice or just establish their own justice?

I was rather thinking of some pack including things like a raspberry pi, a keyboard, a screen, connections and "real world" interfaces : sensors, motors...
Which would make it possible to engineer basic and playful uses (like : water the plant when humidity is that low, switch on this light when I clap, or whatever safe thing the child is interested in). Learning while playing with tangible things.
A friend of mine had his room full of tiny self-designed robots when he was a kid. He won children engineering contests and is now an engineer. He had a lot of fun doing this.

Nice to see a divergent view here!
The relation I can come with between bitcoin is consciousness is that the tools that we use contribute to shape our mind. So if using bitcoin makes you be more conscious about what money is and how it works, and if being more conscious about that is the reason why bitcoin was invented in the first place, then bitcoin can contribute to higher consciousness... about money. Which is actually what any tool do more or less abpit its purpose.
Then if the way money works shapes the world, then you can get to understanding it better from this perspectove. But that's another step and it's not directly bitcoin that does it.

Maybe this is the reason why I and other people find #nostr energising : here does exist "critical hope" when it seems that everywhere else only remains cynicism.
I never watched the show cited in the article but I did use to believe that progress (towards freedom for all, peace, etc.) was inevitable. Then came delusion with darkened perspectives for the future. And I was never really involved in social media before I discovered nostr protocol.
Here people are very critical, yet building things. Here people have revolutionary tools with nostr and bitcoin. Here I find people who keep trying and give me hope in the future again.
