Let's say it did take an infinite amount of time for Monero's supply to become infinite (but how would you audit Monero's supply?), you would still have many generations where one notices a significant decrease in Monero's purchasing power compared to only a few generations ago, in contrast to Bitcoin where its purchasing power preserved or only increases.
I heard XMRs current inflation rate is comparable to that of Gold. It would still double every ~35 years, within a lifetime, while Bitcoin would preserve its purchasing power better than that.
And how would you know that tail emissions would be enough to still incentivize miners in the future, rather than resorting to transaction fees anyways? If the latter did happen, then why not just do transaction fees with a hard supply?

Even if it took 10,000 years for the supply to become infinite, the fact that Monero is able to theoretically grow into an non-finite supply itself is the problem.
At one point will the tail emission no longer be "enough" to incentivize miners to mine? What then? Will you rely on transaction fees instead? Then why not do that anyways but with a hard-capped supply?

Also here's the game theory:
1. People who use money productively build wealth faster than people who just hoard it and let it sit there. Rich people under sound money are incentivized to use their capital to produce more value. Having a trillion-satoshi business is better long term than just holding a trillion sats doing nothing.
2. Bitcoin is infinitely divisible, no level of wealth concentration will "price out" any small transaction. Sats csn be divided into milisats and even microsats or nanosats.
3. Wealth concentration of Bitcoin doesn't in any way somehow comprimise its open source, trustless, or decentralized nature. So that factor is irrelevant. Nodes, of which anyone can run, will still enforce the rules that all miners must follow.
4. Hoarded Bitcoin actually cancels out wealth concentration since it only decreases the circulating supply. Bitcoin's relative purchasing power increases since less of it is freely competing against all goods and services. If one person hoarded half the supply and never used it, Bitcoin's purchasing power would double until that hoarded supply re enters circulation.

The latter part of Bitcoin's adoption will only work once we collectively decide to pay others in Bitcoin, and more importantly, offer jobs that pay in Bitcoin within the same circular economy. The value of the dollar is solely based on "just trust me bro". If we believed that the dollar is nothing but paper and endless credit, then its adoption will tank among the people themselves.
From there, whatever serves as the superior store of value, means of exchange, and unit of account AT SCALE, will rise to the top (which will be Bitcoin). Everything else will either be just another store of value (Gold, Silver), or just another means of exchange (cash, altcoins, barter). Nothing else will be BOTH a SoV AND a MoE AT SCALE, while ALSO being a granular Unit of Account. Only Bitcoin will rise as serving all three in the digital era.

The next thing that I believe NOSTR needs is a native relay feature that allows one on desktop or mobile to be their own relay, and fully backup their events while also serving as network redundancy for other users if they wish.
I would also add that we should soon have the ability to not only choose which relays to follow, but also have information on each relay and to know what their rules are. Users can choose which relays to follow, relays choose which events to propagate.

4. Fact-checking with community verification

Institutional adoption, isn't going to somehow compromise the Bitcoin protocol. All it does is strengthen its purchasing power, and thus hashrate. Nodes are what matter when setting the rules and properties of Bitcoin.

I'm sorry, which coin is being sanctioned and delisted everywhere? Monero had 11 years to prove its game theory, but failed. Bitcoin had only a few years after its launch to prove the trial by fire, and passed again and again.
And yes, a fair comparison on storage: $300 for 20TB today vs less than $50 for 2TB. Also I'm pretty sure smaller blocks will lead to less network bandwith; and mining power is a nonfactor for "centralization", since the nodes are what set the rules. Mining power only ensures it is more difficult to mine fraudulent blocks.
Monero bros' fundamental cope on Bitcoin's privacy for adoption (assuming Bitcoin is somehow not private, which I doubt due to its pseudonymous system) is laughable when you consider that the current fiat system, having NO privacy, doesn't stop us from being able to buy most things in the economy today.
What IS stagnating the economy is monetary inflation, NOT "lack of privacy". Even if Monero's dishonest assumptions about Bitcoin were true, this is the problem Monero fails to solve. Money should be HARD first. Even under Gold and Silver the merchant saw your face when transacting with you.

Also, if you can't sustainably compensate miners enough for expending power to solve a block, then no one is gonna mine on your network. Perhaps that's why Bitcoin's hashrate has only increased exponentially while Monero's hash is currently a rounding error of Bitcoin's.

Nope, Monero's supply still grows infinitely, while Bitcoin is objectively hard-capped. I also practice self-custody on all my wallets, so all the problems you list don't apply to me. If you are someone who leaves your BTC on exchanges or custodial wallets, that's on you.
And of course Monero's full blockchain will be less space than Bitcoin's, since Monero is younger. If Monero ever scales, watch as those big blocks make it impossible for anyone other than the government and corpos to run full nodes, from which they can change the rules of Monero as they please.
It's not gonna matter how "private" it might be, Monero will be the next fiat. I'll stick to the hard-capped coin that is actually listed on exchanges, and is being adopted by Square, CashApp, Rumble, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Around the world, etc.
