It's quite annoying that many model providers are now including their own tooling like image gen etc and it automatically used those tools without a way of disabling it. I was using minimax with openclaw, but had my own skills for local image gen. But now the model is suddenly preferring its own image gen tools instead of mine. And I can't find a configurable way to disable this.

How do we specify a keypair manually for the agent? I haven't installed it yet and sure I will find it in config so I can overwrite it, but that is another use case. my agents already have nostr identities.

Grateful for no fires. Had my Bitchimney running overnight (as I've been doing for months) in the bathroom. It first serves to heat the room when my babies bath and also dries all the washing hanging there.
Got there this morning to a strange smell..
And it sounded like it was running normally and the room was warm. Last night before bed I heard it restarting a number of times. It had been having some inconsistencies starting up. The vnish firmware would sometimes not recognize the chips. But other times it would run perfect lol normal. The power cable had also recently started getting really hot so I thought maybe it had bent etc and had just installed a new one last night!
No idea what happened but it doesn't look happy.
Will open it up later.
And I'd recently just started using it to dry 3d printing filament too.. now I'll need to adjust a number of things in my life without this. We enjoyed our 3 years together.

How do you isolate the nsec ? If someone has access to change the SOUL, wouldn’t they likely have access to the nsec to also post a new signed manifest to the relay?

Ah this reminds me of so many leakage incidents with my son while out at shops. Just two days ago for some reason we had a pee leak and his stroller was soaked. Had to buy some new pants for him and laid a towel under him.
At least it wasn't a poop leak this time. Those are the worst, and have had plenty. Got twin newborn girls that will also give us double these problems in future! Can't wait! 😂

Help me see why this Cant/wont happen with #cashu.
Say I am a merchant that wants to allow both cashu and lightning payments. I am happy to use a third party mint I “trust” for this example.
I also want to enable lightning payments but running a lightning node is a pain.
Cant I just give customers a minting invoice and let them pay it for me with lightning, effectively using the cashu mints lightning node to provide lightning payments for my shop?

Can someone explain to me why places like Japan and the US have their school years misaligned with the calendar year? US I think starts in September while Japan starts in April. And get this, japanese consider themselves the same age only if they fall in the same school year (even when they're adults). It's so weird to me.
In South Africa we have school and calendar years aligned. It seems like the logical thing to do, so why do otherwise?
Is it because theyre northern hemisphere countries and starting school in winter is less enjoyable?

Why does the term “money laundering” feel like a psyop. All my finance related Japanese account providers are recently doing requiring data confirmations to prevent “terrorism and money laundering”.
I hate terrorism but money laundering just feels like such an arbitrary and psyop’y term to allow unnecessary requests for private information.

If one country makes bitcoin illegal, it makes countries where it's legal even more appealing to those who hold bitcoin. And people holding bitcoin are exactly the type of people those countries will welcome as immigrants. The EU will lose value-contributing citizens and will die even faster.
If one chooses to stay in a country that is clearly being unethical, and chooses to keep paying taxes, it's almost as if it's approval of those dirty "ethics". One staying in the country would either have to use non sanctioned markets/shops that accept bitcoin with non-kyc bitcoin, or continue paying taxes until you die.
The EU is forcing its best people to leave.

Everyone always talking about how they don't want to spend so much time in front of a computer... I absolutely love my time in front of the computer. I love trying to build new things and solve coding issues and gain skills.
I've been like this since I was a kid.. and it's exacerbated now that I have less time to do it (apart from the fiat job).
I do also love outdoors and the sun and snow and beach and time with my family... But with fiat work being the only concentrated computer time, I feel deprived! Haha

Human age should be measured from conception day not birth day. Birth day is pretty arbitrary. Some kids are born prematurely or late, but whether they were in utero or not they would still grow - though maybe there is a difference in how much.
Kids are put into age groups and school years based on time since birth regardless of whether they were born early or late.

This episode triggered me. Back in University about 15 years ago, I was so passionate about GPGPU with CUDA, using it to solve applied math sims in real time while my classmates were stuck with 2-concurrency in matlab parfor.
But then I sold out and started my career at a company building web services as it wasn’t easy to find any good paying jobs wanting CUDA engineers.
Now I really regret leaving it behind. I still dream to code graphics and CUDA stuff but I’d have to play catch up in my spare time which I really don’t have any of.

It just made me wonder if the reason many on the left are so against the right to bear arms is because they know what they themselves would do with the guns… like what was done to Charlie. Whereas the right actually just want guns to protect their family - the traditional family model they hold dearly.

I love that most of the response I’ve seen to Charlie’s murder is that of love and inspiration. Not vengeful hate or anger. His death will be a springboard for many to aspire to do the same and represent God in this world, being lights in a dark and dying world. Evil takes away life - it always have. But death is already defeated. Charlie knew that and knows it now more than ever. For to live is Christ and to die is gain!

The fact that you have to qualify him under MAGA implies that your feelings of apathy are politically driven.
I’m not even American. Don’t care about MAGA and the left and the right. But I loved how Charlie encouraged free and open discussion. And did so rationally and logically. He was well studied and spoke eloquently. He also promoted good values and honored God.
It absolutely is a sad thing that his life was taken. Sad for his family and sad for the killer that he could pull the trigger and kill a “good” man.
The fact that there are other evils in the world should not detract from wrong events on smaller scales.

An equivalent case could be made for killing vocal pro-choice speakers because their speaking might cause the deaths of many pre-birth babies.
I don’t believe Charlie was pro death of innocents in any case.
Comparing him to hitler who was explicitly and absolutely pro death is false equivalence.
