Could you imagine a story in the same world where your MC is the antagonist?
Maggie? Absolutely. She does plenty of antagonistic stuff.
Actually, most of my MCs have done questionable things. None of them are perfect. They have their bad days. In fact, for most of my "heroes," in general, you will find some regular people who disapprove of them. Plenty of their "heroic" actions have had a cost & plenty of them have made blunders.

Does the society your characters live in take good care of people with disabilities?
Like most things in Ardonna, it depends on timeline & location. Any human society would care for them with the knowledge & ability of the day. So less well in the Dragon Age, better in the Modern Era. You don't find many truly disabled folks in mage societies due to the re-emergence ceremony and, you know, magery.

I've heard people collect free books & may not read them for a while. Some people will only get free books & never pay. I assume there are a small subset where this marketing tactic will work as intended.

I live in the Palm Springs area where our pride parade is a huge deal, like Christmas. It's also held in November rather than June, when the sun has stopped trying to kill us. 😆
