Well, the culture you grew up in will be your unique element, then. I find Chinese SF fascinating for example, as the focus on the family and society is so different from what I am used to. Or the books by my friend Vanba Sherif, who is a born Liberian, raised in the Middeleast, living here in The Netherlands, and telling stories like a real griot.
Looking forward to it. And keep on writing and sharing. The world needs stories.

As an SFF lover based in Western Europe, I've been looking around for great genre lit from other parts of the world. Loved me some Chinese SF, and read several SFF from around the world stories.
What would you say is the unique element you bring to the table?

Finished "Systems of Survival" by Jane Jacobs, an ethical, moral dialogue written in 1989. It's about the different (even opposite) sets of values important for commercial people/organizations on the one side. and "guardians" (e.g. politicians, public services, ngo's, cultural organizations) in the other side. And what happens (spoiler: bad things) when these value sets mix.
Really relevant for today's political climate.

I love my Kobo H2O. Got one for both children, one of whom reads ferociously, and is very happy with it. My wife has a smaller version, which she is very happy with.
Important caveat: we all have a cover w magnetic lid, which not only looks great, but also protects the ebook. No issues here with breakage

Een vraag gesteld bij Van de Bron over het afsluiten van de gasaansluiting. Krijg ik een antwoord dat "voelt" alsof ze ChatGPT het hebben laten doen, maar wat ook een slecht formulerende medewerker kan zijn.
