It seems to have been removed from both. I resurrected it in the Index, but Apple still shows it as dead in their directory.
My guess is that it returned a > 500 HTTP status code on polling for a time period and was auto-removed from both.

Add it to Apple’s directory. I think there is a submission process where you can add it to their directory without having to sign any EULA or anything. I’m not sure how that works though.

#api The /episodes/byfeedid endpoint now takes a new optional unary parameter called "newest". When you give this parameter it will only give you back the newest episode from the feed id(s) requested. An example would be:
/episodes/byfeedid?id=41504,920666,1333070&newest
...which would give back only the newest episode of NA,PC20 and PWR respectively.
Live items are still present in their own collection as normal.

#api One endpoint we've never had is a way to give the Index a list of podcast feed ID's and have it give back X number of the latest items from each feed. I've found myself in need of that. The SQL on it will probably be pretty challenging but I think it can work in a single query.

#laravel Interesting. Having to build all the CSS/JS into a bundle for serving with Vite means that if I try to dynamically add a class with something like:
$(element).addClass('size-8')
...if I haven't used that class before in the static HTML of the blades it just will not work. I just had to make a dummy, non-visible <div class="size-8"> to get the dynamic assignment to work.

I'm sorry, I wasn't being clear. I know what cascade actions are. I was having trouble figuring out how to apply an update cascade to the table schema in Eloquent. I ended up finding it later and it's much easier than I thought:

A lot of the confusion comes to where to put things. How much logic belongs in the View vs. the Controller. I can see coding yourself into a box if you choose wrong and then having to refactor later.

Yikes, the Linode hosting bill went up over $100 this month. It’s been creeping up due to object storage overages for the last few months but this is a big jump. Going to have to waste time trying to find a solution. 😞

It’s just a single GET to podping.cloud with the feed url as a parameter. You do that whenever the feed itself changes or the enclosure content changes.
I can send you an auth token. It’s a very simple thing.

You’re on the right track! Best to stick with sub-classing the Note object with the relevant properties and audio attachment though, since it will be more widely compatible out of the gate.
