not specifically about healthcare. its that charity work tends to happen when your cup is overflowing.
abusive taxation (such as in the name of social welfare programs) takes the money from people who's cups are actually not overflowing to begin with, and just oppresses their ability to help people *they* actually care about.
some of this could be helped with allowing the flat tax to be deducted like income tax, but they won't do that.

i suspect high taxes and performative socialism reduces the overall donations to charity. when the state is raping your wallet for 15% of everything you take—for "medicine" that only a minority of the population is allowed to have—people get this "it's already taken care of" feeling.

@npub1hlw…psnv shotcut hasn't crashed on me this past month (windows.) i have asked very little of it though. taking a VOD from twitch and just cutting some frames.
i've been told some of the crashing of NLEs has to do with using improper codecs. in production film you're supposed to crunch all your film to ProRes or DNxHD proxies. they are fucking huge files but they are designed in such a way that the program can easily read a random frame cheaply.
using mp4s puts strain on your box. if you are doing like 4 layers of video, then ask it to seek, its having to go back and resolve interframes all over the place.
for streaming you are already supposed to use keyframes every 1-3 frames anyway, which is what i send out of OBS.

i think a lot of problem with [pseudo-]left things is that the core idea behind a lot of it--once removing the psychosis, gang bullying and other insanities--amounts to grilling enthusiasm.
so it's not like people actually want to sit there and close the hospitals or whatever, but they don't want every waking moment of their day to be hearing people bitch about how the hospitals don't match some super ideal (also the super ideal has varying degrees of reasonable to unhinged.)

most of the video editing stuff is going to be maybe one mid sided knob and a bunch of editor specific buttons for color grading and shit. tourbox has one for creatives but its rather small. shuttle controls are kinda okay, but the outer ring is springy (returns to center) while the inner ring is the encoder, and none of those three gives MIDI so you have to hack the HID packets and use a translator.
