Open source is important so we can have some peace of mind that folks who know more than we do have the ability to audit the code for security and any potential back doors. Opening up a code base subjects it to all kinds of scrutiny from both good and bad actors which tends to result in greater security overall.

Good morning #nostr! It has been about a month since I joined and I'm loving "Self-Soverign Social".
My challenge has been connecting with like minded folks, which is surprising because if we are both here on nostr we likley share at least an interest in decentralization and #bitcoin.

Bitcoin ATM's advertised everywhere I look, huge ads for bitcoin ETFs in airports, people talking about it at the next table in a restaurant. The mainstream is coming, slowly at first, and then all at once.

While I agree with the “you can shoot someone who has invaded your home and refuses to leave after several warnings” thing… In NY you must LIVE full time in a place for six months before you can claim any squatters rights, and while squatters rights may seem ridiculous, if I or a representative have not visited my home in six months maybe it should go to someone who needs it…..

Valuable chart in terms of protecting your UTXOs. In the past when massive amounts of dust transactions have belonged to a single entity they have worked with miners to run large consolidation transactions that would otherwise not make it into the mempool.

The problem with hyperinflation is it happens slowly, then all at once. It's too late for these folks to use #bitcoin to protect their wealth. Our best hope is to hodl them up as another example of the inevitable systemic failure of central banking.
