The correct setup for now is to route the connection through servers inside the country, located in large data centers and have external connection. Direct connections to foreign VPS are quickly detected and cut off. Therefore you need proper set of SNI and a combination of obfuscation and VPN protocols to make traffic analysis as difficult as possible.

I think connections is the main problem. The second problem is clients never notice when you have poor connection, and event will just fking disappear after you push send button. Because clients can't predict what relays will do and if connection will be still bad or good enough to push event to relay at the exact moment when you try to publish something.

DPI doesn't care from what IP to what IP the traffic is going. It uses LLMs and other soft to find the signatures of blocked protocols or kinds of obfuscation and drop it immediately, no matter it legal or illegal, it doesn't care. That's why when our people buying VPS's, installing VPN/proxy tunnel there, they're trying not to use it with banks, governments and other surveillance apps. Because from the moment vps's ip known, earlier or later connection to it became "depressed" automatically. DPI doesn't care why you use this tunnel. That's why when white list regime is working, even whitelisted hosts could be unavailable - DPI still doesn't care, and nobody could stop it. In couple of years or even less nobody would buy a server for VPN - that's their goal. To make it useless waste of time and money.

There's many enthusiasts in big cities developing mesh. But using radiowaves with strong encryption is dangerous - fsb can fuck you anytime. If your network will grow to status "public", you must give up keys and register in SORM. In other ways (without encryption) you rely on "nobody cares/listens/reads" and "I had nothing to hide". Delta chat's chatmail public servers are mostly blocked. When trying to use email services like Yandex mail or Rambler you'll immediately get permanent ban for suspicious activity or spam (they know about PGP and Delta chat of course). The most popular Mail_ru gives you an external app password only if you pay for subscription, you can't use delta chat unless you paid them and even if you pay them you likely will be banned for "spam". So you can't just tell people to install delta chat and be connected - relay by default blocked, local email services doesn't want to see your encrypted messages...
Nostr-based messaging is much worse than anything you can use in such conditions. The number of DM relays are less then fingers on one hand. Dms here are superbad, it is unusable from my view. I changed client (now I'm using Wisp) and my old dms are missed, and those somehow appeared doesn't looks good. Nostr uses too many connections, it depends on availability of relays and good internet channel. I often struggle to send some basic event to three of the most popular public relays. I don't think Nostr can be the solution somehow. It failed in many ways. I tried White noise by the way, 0xchat too, idk it always lags and you have to admit compromises or surrender on it.

DPI is not everywhere and it can't be everywhere, at least this day. In Russia when they're hardly trying to block 2-3 popular protocols or global services at once, some old shit like Shadowsocks or Wireguard and even Socks5 starts working. There's always will be a pretty solid path until total Cheburnet activated. And I mentioned Signal for a reason. It devs implemented feature that bypass DPI blocking with one checkbox activated. Idk how it works and if it is working right now or not (I'm not a Signal user), but I know the only problem with Signal in Russia was to register and log in to the messenger (you can't just receive SMS with code and you can't first-time connect without VPN), so their solution works, but not from the box, and not for everyone. I hope SimpleX and others "decentralized" guys will not turn away from the users from Russia like many service providers does for any reason (sanctions, politics, war, etc.) BTW your governments will try to implement some kind of blockade (nation-wide network) earlier or later, so be prepared.

Dude, you have no idea what's going on here. What Mullvad are you talking about — it hasn't worked here for a long time. Sentinel and others "decentralised" are farming civilized West's money with shitcoins, it's not about VPN quality and resilience. Every other person in Russia keeps two or three VPN services on their phones in case the latest twice obfuscated VPN protocol suddenly stops working... Some people switch foreign VPS servers like gloves just to stay connected to the outside world. Telegram started being blocked partly because it's the most convenient source of VLESS keys (and Tor bridges), places to buy cryptocurrency, and "forbidden" information from opposition media. So your advice is a bit off the mark, man. We're on the front lines of a passive fight for free access to information.

In my region (of Russia) Telegram is sometimes work without VPN, sometimes not, depending on ISP and mobile/WiFi connection. Govt controlled media yesterday signalled about Roscomnadzor is struggling to block Telegram with somehow limited resources, and it seems likely, for now at least. Maybe they just want more money for DPI infrastructure and playing, idk. I gave up on SimpleX when their support told me they doesn't have plans to implement any circumvention tools (similar to Signal's solution or others). And many many people in Russia did the same when it stop working without VPN. I hope SimpleX's position "other services must provide connection, not us do anything" will change. The difference between SimpleX's non-commercial basis and all vpns, that are paid (directly, or ads/data selling), is completely understandable... By the way in my case mentioned Session, that is still installed on my device, is not working with or without VPN, idk why. Session lasts longer than SimpleX, much longer, but since the end of 2025 I never had session online.

SimpleX doesn't work in Russia. Session is blocked too. Seems like it was much easier to block than Telegram (they're trying right now and it still works). SimpleX depends only on it's own infrastructure + Flux servers and it doesn't survive in restricted conditions.

Yesterday my sister asked me to install Windows on her new Huawei laptop. I spent about seven hours on it, even though Windows 11 was properly licensed (with a product key) and the task was just the operating system and an office suite. It's unusable here. Tor over Tor is not allowed, I turned it off in bitchat settings, and it still doesn't work with system Tor. Teleported to Europe, can see around 30 anons, start to type them and connection immediately lost. Turn Tor off everywhere, aiming Moscow region. There is 4 to 7 peers, and counting 4, 7, 4, 7 like some glitch. Nobody answered. Judging by the direction things are heading, only approved services from so-called white lists will operate in the Cheburnet mode. These include the websites and applications of banks, taxi services, major delivery platforms, the national messenger Makh, websites and applications related to the government and authorities, state media, local video hosting service, streaming platforms and app stores, among others. They won't even need international DNS; there is a separate domain name system for the internal internet, from which addresses like YouTube, WhatsApp, and others have already been removed. The main question is you want your friends to communicate each other inside or with you and others outside Russia? For outside there's no better alternative than cleverly configured VPN (+Tor). I really don't think Nostr based thing can do much here. Maybe if we had enthusiasts who creates relays on critical infrastructure from "white lists"... and it still easy to block. At the moment I'm testing Delta chat - there's a chance emails won't die when other communication channels will be turned off. But centralized services (Yandex mail, Mail. Ru etc.) can easily ban accounts that transmit encrypted messages using Delta Chat, citing suspicion of spamming, so again, relays within the country are needed.

WhiteNoise is a private messenger, there's no logical connection to censorship. Did you mean surveillance? Bitchat is very bad imo. It doesn't work or work different on 3 devices in one room. Two of them is pixel phones and macbook. Its doesn't see each other in less then one meter. One on one sometimes/maybe, but never all three. For me bitchat doesn't work neither via Bluetooth nor through Nostr. One day I've tryed to add note to my city - three or four times it just didn't go anywhere. Some relay(a) I can't reach from my location with out without VPN or my place is geoblocked idk how it suppose to work...

My VPN provider was successfully fully blocked by government, so now I'm using Tor Browser on laptop and it's working really well with webtunnel bridges - even YouTube working more or less good (if all videos suddenly become "unavailable", set the "new identity" and restart browser).

The difference in the sound of cars from the same team has been discussed many times, and in most cases, the difference is explained by different car settings and driver preferences. You say you stopped watching it in favor of F2, but you still watch. It seems to me that in recent years, with Max becoming king, the championship has become much more interesting and the intrigue has increased exponentially. That's what I said "team prefers Norris". By the way, some so-called F1 experts attribute Oscar's drop in pure speed to the fact that the final tracks on the calendar simply don't suit him. It's all about cornering technique, and Oscar himself has mentioned this more than once. One source (Mark Hughes) quotes:
"They have completely different techniques, and they load the car differently on corner entry in almost every race. But on these two tracks, Piastri was about 0.5 seconds behind.
Looking more closely at the Mexico City round, the main challenge with the smooth surface of the track, located at high altitude, is warming up the front tires before the first turn and preventing the rears from overheating by the final stint. This is much more difficult to achieve than on other tracks that require a similar compromise in car setup (Barcelona, Hungary, Abu Dhabi), as the ultra-smooth asphalt prevents the tires from gripping the surface well, meaning the mechanical grip generated by tire hysteresis (the deformation of the tire during movement, causing heat) is not very effective.
All this puts additional stress on the tire tread, which is prone to overheating. As it overheats, it transfers less load to the tire carcass, which remains cold and inflexible.
Norris' pole position was 0.588 seconds faster than Piastri's lap, which earned him eighth place. This difference is explained by Piastri losing 0.25 seconds in Turn 1 (his front tires were underheated) and 0.343 seconds in the long, slow final corner (his rear tires were overheated). In total, Piastri lost 0.593 seconds compared to his teammate in these two corners.
They lapped the rest of the lap at the same pace, as the layout smoothed out the differences in their driving techniques. While Piastri did lose time in the fast Turn 9, which is unusual, he was generally faster in the slower sequence of Turns 4, 5, and 6.
Piastri's 0.343-second loss in Turns 16-17 is explained by greater understeer on entry, more wheel lockup as power builds, and, consequently, greater oversteer on exit, which further overheats the rear tires.
Piastri isn't as efficient at cornering simply because his driving technique puts a different strain on the front tires. This is also evident in the time lost in Turn 1. Approaching this corner, Norris partially lifts off the throttle and simultaneously applies braking, while Piastri brakes later and immediately releases the throttle completely, without simultaneously applying both the throttle and brake pedals.
During this phase, Norris has the opportunity to turn the car more deeply into the corner, allowing him to take it at higher speed. This is where the significant time gain occurs. Norris took the apex of Turn 2, the slowest part of the sequence, at 112.6 km/h (70.5 mph), while Piastri did at 101.4 km/h (63.5 mph). Piastri lost a quarter of a second in this section.
Mexico City was simply a more extreme example of what we typically see at the start of every race weekend, when on a dusty track with no rubber, Norris is invariably faster than his teammate. As grip improves throughout the weekend, and the car copes better with the more abrupt load changes associated with Piastri's corner entry technique, Oscar catches up or passes Norris."

I disagree with your marketing conspiracy theory. The hyper-marketing Lewis once left McLaren and won multiple titles with Mercedes. Your example of his move to Ferrari after seven titles is rather an exception. The undeniable talent of Schumacher, Alonso, Raikkonen, and others at the end of their careers wasn't enough to compete for the title. Of the current drivers mentioned, Alonso shines compared to Stroll, but his protégé Bortoleto would probably have outscored Fernando this season. I keep seeing the same arguments between the glory boys and the haters, and they say that absolutely every driver they don't support is bad. They drive like rocket ships compared to others, and the team devotes all their resources to them, forcing their teammates to give up positions and help defend against attacks, and much, much more. It is unlikely that paid relays for real can guarantee that they will not close after some time and the data stored on them will not disappear. I generally have a hard time understanding why paid relays might be needed if everyone (including OGs) complains about spam from time to time and content selection and filtering is available at the client level. There's no killer feature of paid relays imo. And for some reason I think that free relays that copy content from other relays, if they are rotated in a timely manner, can be even more long-term storage for your content than paid relays that risk closing due to low profitability.

Tonight the MongolZ played against Vitality in the Austin Major final. The MongolZ became the first ever team from Asia to reach the Major final, and also the youngest team in the final.
Hundreds of fans gathered in the capital of Mongolia, on the main square of Ulaanbaatar, and from 2 am to 6 am watched the final and cheered for their team.
Unfortunately, Vitality is too strong atm, but the guys from the MongolZ proved that they can compete at the highest level throughout the season, and now all that remains is to win the next final. And we in Buryatia are proud of our relatives and root for them!

Your identity is your keys, not your event story. Who cares what you wrote months/years earlier than today - maybe only arrogant authors and their haters. Mostly we doesn't have time to read someone's events, and it has 0 value if it's not historical/important for protocol or some sort of superdooper shit. And who cares really what exact relays stores their events - all we need is to be here now and be visible/readable if we want to talk about something.
