I oppose getting into foreign wars - I do not want US taxpayers to foot the bill to battle every authoritarian regime. I want to focus on the issues we have here in the US. I also do not like the profiteering by "the few" (that include members of Congress) at the expense of US taxpayers and US/foreign countries' lives.
However, I also detest known human rights violations that include executions and wanton death. So I'm a little conflicted with these precision strikes that can lead to regime change.
However, without the right (and non-corrupt) opposition leaders in place to assume interim leadership until fair elections, the new regime could be worse than the previous regime.
Regardless, these protests are more about hating Trump than it is caring for humanity or sovereignty.

A worthy assessment - I agree, they definitely go at it from a grassroots effort to take over government. And you would be hard-pressed to find an Islamic country that isn't ruling with an oppressive iron-fist.
Shows you how the self-interested people at the top are skimming the funds while directing others into media and protests to convert more lemmings to doing the legwork to protect Islamic communities because "white is racist".
Although I theologically disagree with Islam (being a Christian), I'm OK with you practicing it as a religion...I have Islamic friends. But I'm NOT OK with you doing that to the detriment of all other points of view.

No ID and was unlawfully conceal carrying - and I agree with a couple of assessments.
- I have conceal carry - they make it abundantly clear that you keep your hands up and notify the officers you are carrying if ever interacting with law enforcement.
- once he didn’t notify them, and resisted arrest, he sealed his fate. With so much going on- including protestors attacking and beating officers, and biting off fingers, as soon as you see that undeclared weapon, you have seconds to react for your own safety and the safety of others.
Now, when I saw the footage, I was irritated when it looks like one of the officers was trying to get some sucker punches in…but again, the guy was resisting arrest AFTER unlawfully obstructing them in their duties.
I’m 58 years old in a couple weeks - never supported eliminating the filibuster…I do now. This generation of leftists and corrupt, thieving politicians reveling in lawfare, will be the death of our republic and sovereignty.
Impeach activist judges, pass the SAVE act, follow all money trails and unapologetically put ALL corrupt politicians and NGOs behind bars and/or try for treason.

I'm honestly still processing Venezuela, but good point.
I want out of the "world police" business and I do not support attacking sovereign nations (1) because of their sovereignty, and (2) because you then disperse the financial burden on the American taxpayer without a vote.
Then you reflect on the drug trafficking, the stolen Venezuelan election, the people in the streets in Venezuela AND the US cheering and crying with personal anecdotes of persecution and execution by the Maduro administration...as well as China/Russia getting cozy within easier striking distance...and it becomes a complex topic.
Since the damage is done, I think they should install the president who SHOULD have won the election, perhaps consult in regard to rebuilding infrastructure/etc that has worsened under Maduro admin...and then GET.OUT.
We do not need another Middle East forever war, fighting rebels, large money drain from US taxpayers, etc.

Not sure this would warrant execution (although I agree it would be a very effective deterrent). Now - for pedophiles, drug/sex trafficking, traitors to the country - versus just massive fraud with things like medicaid/daycare even election fraud - executions should be in play. Fraud should face full confiscation of all wealth/assets and deportations...preferably to a jurisdiction that would jail them and use them as labor for some productivity and doing a revenue share on that production between the jurisdiction and the US (to further offset the costs of the fraud).

I actually made my first (very committed) stack Jan 2022 around 42k...and stacked all the way down to the high 15ks...then all the way back up to 118k.
I stack a little bit at the beginning of each month AND convert my retirement check into BTC and use it with Billpay via Strike!
HODLing and trying to live on a bitcoin standard. It was a tough year to start living on a bitcoin standard, but HIFO has be tax loss harvesting those 118k sats (trying to see the silver lining and keep the long term in perspective).

When my dad died on active duty, my mother started receiving a death benefit intended for me. That was frittered away on a lot of indulgences - none of which made it to me.
When I moved in with my grandparents, they gave me control of the money at 12 yrs old. I was taught by them, so I only focused on saving as much as I could and laddering CDs.
When I got to college, I read plenty of Money magazine and Kiplingers. By the time I got out of college, I started investing in mutual funds...back in the day I had to send in a physical check. I picked them by again reading Money, Kiplingers, and heading to the library to read Morningstar...spent a lot of time reading forums on Prodigy (yep, dialup).
So started investing around 22 yrs old (1990). Stayed steady, frugal, never panic sold...and it served me well. We are not rich - but we own real assets and have no debt...and got 2 kids through college and building their own financial futures. Didn't start buying bitcoin until my mid-50s (Jan 2022), but I'm glad for the extra piece of mind of having an asset they can't debase.

I do not completely agree - that doesn't mean he isn't self-interested. But his self-interest aligns with teaching/evangelizing that Bitcoin is perfect money that will save individuals/companies/sovereigns from financial collapse.
Does he benefit if more people do that - and use his products to do so - absolutely. Does it benefit mankind...absolutely.

Some - but I think enough are skittish after the recent price action since the big liquidation in October...and some feel that whales carry enough weight with their trading to make the 4-yr cycle self-fulfilling. So they do not want to over-lever going into 2026.
Just keep buying the dip. Unfortunately, I'm down to nibbling at ETFs...and some MSTR/ASST...with my IRA because I have NO cash left.

Yes - I will continue to hope we right the ship. My fear is that we need the full effects of a Fourth Turning to get there. Meaning we may still have a scary and HARD PIVOT to the extreme left...possibly with UBI and "tax the rich" as huge selling points...before we come back to foundational civilizational values and proof of work.
Since I will be over 60 in 2028, I'm not looking forward to that extreme left ideology running the country. I have grandkids that will be teenagers/young adults during that period, and I feel for them (and their generation...and I place a lot of blame on the boomers who corrupted so much of our system and refused to relinquish the reins of power)!

Normally, I would say that a judge cannot be held responsible for the decisions of a "sovereign individual". However, if they make decisions to release - with numbers like this (that shouldn't have gotten to within 10% of those numbers) - then I would fully support holding those judges responsible and impeaching.
Only need to make a few examples for the rest to fall in line and start upholding and interpreting the law objectively.

Interesting theory...enough already with the price drop. I have long-term horizon for almost all of my holdings, but I did make an effort this year to start living on a Bitcoin Standard. My retirement check and income go into BTC purchases each month (Strike and River), and then all of my bills get paid using Bill Pay with Strike.
And with HIFO, I'm definitely clearing out a lot of $109k, $118k, etc. Stacking some nice capital losses for tax time, I guess.
Glad my wife still trusts me.🤣

Regarding a tribe not needing technology or bitcoin - sure, I can believe it. Get a small enough scale, you can go back to a barter system or trading with a currency that is worth what the participants say it is worth. Oh, and step away from the tech...touch grass, love others, and probably have a much happier life.
I have strong opinions, loosely held...which I take seriously.
I mentored many consultants and taught anything from project management to data modeling/data warehousing, ETL, and data visualization to consultants AND clients. And that spanned a generation in business (Gen X and Millennials).
I then decided to give back - and mentor the NEXT generation. I have reasonably priced tennis lessons year round, but I also coach two high school teams for a stipend that amounts to coffee and gas money.
I spend many hours EACH DAY building skills, competitiveness, and belief and self-esteem - all from a positive approach (which is in stark contrast to the coaching I received as a south Texas football player). This has built the trust between student/coach to allow me to also ask about what their life goals are...as well as discuss with students AND parents about bitcoin. I have volunteered my time to speak to individuals or groups about bitcoin.
I walked away from a lucrative career - to the disbelief of many - to fulfill my passion of teaching/coaching/encouraging. Many people can do what I do in the IT world...less can do (or desire the do or have the "means" to do) the much simpler - but I would argue more impactful - mission that I do now.
In my own opinion, of course.

I retired early when the stress became overwhelming. For my last 3 years, I was more of an account manager for this acquiring company...vs more of an architect/developer/project manager previously...which meant I was making promises to my clients that we had the people (because my company leadership and recruiting/HR told me we had the resources). I then had to come BACK to the client and say
1) we do not have the resources...because we literally did not have a bench and we couldn't find anyone on the open-market,
2) the price of the resources rose faster than a dozen eggs in 2024, so their budget...or our fixed price proposal...couldn't support the price increase, or
3) client wants lower costs...even if it meant predominantly H1B...and the ones we could find proved to be "less than competent or fraudulent with their credentials"
If I conducted 10 resource interviews for a job position...maybe 2 were US citizens because they aren't taking the hard path of STEM education and continuing education to survive in a tech role. They also wanted more money and more demands (work from home, Mon/Thu travel days if remote)...and were generally less qualified technically.
Basically - I got tired of apologizing to the clients for over-committing. I uncovered false resumes constantly - and even had two scenarios where someone off-camera answered the interview questions on a Zoom call...and the candidate basically did "watermelon...watermelon" with their lips!
I then did my own consulting for awhile, but shut it down during COVID and focused on becoming a tennis teaching pro and high school tennis coach. Was always frugal, diligent saver for 30+ years, so took early retirement and subsidizing with the coaching.
The US NEEDS more STEM-educated youth if we ever want to become self-sustaining again...vs rely on H1B. And our youth need to be willing to work. Obviously, this is broad-brushing it...but I know what I experienced working in the industry as well as knowing a LOT of youth and their employment goals. And often the highest performing students academically - in the groups I've worked with - sons and daughters of H1Bs or 2nd generation from green card. I am an American - TEXAN - I would much rather we get back to "rolling our own" when it comes to our country's success. But it requires...proof-of-work and time.

The only place I'll offer a counter-view is on the topic of H1B Visas in this video.
This comes from the perspective of being an analytics consultant and IT business owner for close to 30 years.
We could never get the appropriate resources - for software/mobile development, test/test automation/devops, analytics/datawarehousing/etc through just a US labor force. Since I coach high school tennis now, I also get to ask a lot of students what they plan on studying in college.
Almost none are picking STEM degrees - preferring business, marketing, finance, psychology, etc.
*** Now - side point - I do not even advocate for college education any longer (even though my wife and I both got nursing/engineering degrees...and both of our daughters got degrees). I prefer technical school - and wish our labor system had more of an apprentice-style approach for new employees entering the work force. Employers get inexpensive labor that they can train to their specifications - employees get paid while also avoiding college debt.
So this dearth of STEM education has resulted in a dearth of analysts/developers/testers in IT. Not enough bodies for the work to be done, so we had to augment with H1B.
This is a nuanced issue because I also interviewed many people who were unqualified and - in some cases - were sent to me by a body shop that produced false copy/paste resumes. They also paid those consultants pennies-on-the-dollar relative to their US counterparts. Our broken money system, incredible asset inflation, sense of entitlement, and understanding that they are a scarce (citizen) commodity has our US born job applicants asking for SIGNIFICANTLY MORE in regard to W2/1099 bill rate. When a client is driving down your proposal costs, and your competitors are willing to drop theirs, it becomes a work of art to build a team of US-based citizens as well as supplementing with H1B.
Now - back to that dearth of STEM candidates. You do NOT build a backlog of them in a day...a year...arguably 5+ years. I think Trump came to that painful realization between when he said "no more H1B", to we need to have H1B to keep our universities open (don't care on that one) and our factories with a competent labor force.
I very much want to reshore our manufacturing, and become self-sovereign as well as better national defense without dependencies upon our adversaries, but we will need to wean off of H1Bs over years while strongly encouraging our youth to get STEM/trade school education.
We also need to Fix the Money, Fix the World...so employees do not have to constantly ask for raises that prices them out of the market (and perpetuating the vicious asset price inflation loop). We need more employers paying in bitcoin - and employees financially savvy enough to at least convert into bitcoin, so their hard work is not debased.
Please share this post a little more - interested in driving the discussion to get other opinions. We do NOT get to recover in 1-3 years what took 40-100 years to corrupt. I would love to see folks like @nprofile…w2ua @nprofile…u7e3 @nprofile…6dtc and @nprofile…zj6n weighing in on this one...those latter two specifically because they also ran (much larger than my 100+ person shop that got acquired and grew to about 2,500) tech companies. That combined 2,500 employee company had an onshore/nearshore/offshore model to suit client demands.

They better kill the filibuster and start wiping out election integrity/voter ID issues and getting rid of Obamacare, as well as be better prepared for the next shutdown.

why would you play?
why not jack up your time preference to “immediate” and take as much as you can from the existing system before it falls over? it’s going to do that anyway and obviously, someone will benefit from plundering it to death. so why them and not you?

Worth the read - same playbook, different story. And some of the Republicans are uniparty or just self-interested/self-preserving (Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Thom Tillis, and Rand Paul).
I keep thinking we have a brief window to take care of a lot of business and prevent an utter progressive removal of all self-sovereign rights, violation of private property, taxes on unrealized gains, and continued persecution of conservatives/Christians/etc. I also unfortunately live in a blue state - and we really do not want to move because we love Colorado.

I know it isn't shocking, but I still stand in disbelief that they say Republican shutdown AND Republican healthcare crisis.
And even more shocked that people still believe it.
Gotta go nuclear option and try to clean up all of this crap in 3 years - with major headway going into midterms to at least retain the Senate.
I love our country - I despise our government.
