It would be interesting to run side-by-side comparisons of actual human polling and AI extrapolations. Technically, the AI has a larger sampling. So long as its method of analysis wasn't tampered with, it could be a good predictor.

Trump has definitely hated the Clintons since 2016. As for being at the same parties, Trump controls the DOJ, who can and probably have scrubbed all proof of his own rapes. I'm sure lots of people associated with Epstein before his arrest without knowing what he was up to. This is why we need ALL of the files released, unredacted, or for the victims to make good on their promise to reveal the names.

Before he was ever elected, in the fall of 2016, I was working as a housepainter. I had done several jobs for this moderately well-off couple who lived on a golf course. Nice folks. Then, I found out they were Trump supporters. At that point, we didn't know how bad he was yet, but we knew about Access Hollywood and a few other things. I tried to talk with her about stuff (he didn't want to talk politics.) I brought up Pussy Grabbing. She looked me dead in the eye and said "I don't care."

Agreed. My parents were reading to me (audiobooks) long before I learned to read. My 92 year old father still reads to the family at times, and I treasure those moments, but I don't call them "reading." The experience is completely different. The neuropathways involved are different. A blind person who uses braille reads. One who listens to an audio book is read to.

I remember being told in my 20's (the 1980's) that "95% of the scientists who ever lived are alive today, and 75% of them work directly or indirectly for the US government."
This, of course was before fact checking, but I do want to say: NOT ANYMORE. Doge fired all of them or defunded their grants. All are being recruited by Europe and other parts of the world.

I read the whole book. While it isn't up to Mieville's usual level, the story was fascinating. I'm not usually bothered by books that take a while to coalesce into a theme or idea. If you want to be sucked right into a well defined plot, this is definitely not your book.
All that said, the prologue is indeed horrible. I wonder if it is mostly Keanu. It seems like a first draft.

This is not about Biden, or whether he has been a good president or will be going forward. This is about beating Trump. Absolutely every proposed replacement for Biden does better than him in polling. Kamala, for one, could eviscerate Trump in a debate. Biden simply can't.
