“Where” is a very crucial question. The Protestant account is a circular “argument” that boils down to being able to tell the scripture is the scripture because it looks like the scripture. They have to adopt this theory because all their thousands of Protestant denominations are built on the revolutionary concept of prying loose the scripture from the greater Body of Christ that recognized and preserved the scriptures (a central pillar of Holy Tradition).
The traditional Christian account of scripture is pretty straightforward and rooted in Christ:
1: Christ is the Word Incarnate. He proved His identity by His birth, death, and resurrection.

4: The apostles ordained direct successors, still acting by the guidance and protection of the Holy Spirit, who employed their inherited authority to unambiguously identify what the scriptures were (and importantly also taught what they meant).
5: The Christian today can read and submit to the scriptures because they were preserved and delivered to him by the witness of the Church that wields the authority given by Christ. The thing which He promised the gates of Hell would not prevail against. By submitting to the scripture, a believer submits to a direct line of Faith going back to Christ. A Faith once delivered for all to the Saints.

I’m not a Roman Catholic but the commenter is referring to the Eucharist which Christ Himself establishes as normative for salvation. And Paul clearly affirms that the Eucharist (as it was in the first instance in the upper room) is a communal meal shared within the Church. This isn’t to say that salvation is impossible by another means (what is impossible with God?). But Jesus was so clear about this that it scandalized some disciples. He specifies not just belief, but to eat of His Body and Blood to gain eternal life.
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. If God loves His Creatures and His redemption of His creatures is only contingent on His election/disspensation of saving grace to them, why would we not see universal salvation?
If He requires no synergy between His will and with the will of the regenerated, how could He not save all those who He loves? Conversely, how could He be severe in justice against creatures who, being totally depraved from their conception, had no meaningful participation in their hatred towards Him?
This is the central reason I am not an occasionalist/calvinist. My firm belief in God’s love AND His just righteousness preclude it. People have a meaningful choice in responding to God’s gracious call to repentance. And He will rightly judge based on how people respond to His call in their hearts. May God have mercy on us, the sinners that we are.

No major Christian sects posit equality of Mary with any person of the Trinity. Mary had the same human nature as every other human but was honored, and assented, to bear God the Word in His incarnation. That is why she is rightly called blessed and respected. It is right to treat Christ’s mother with the same respect that He did. It’s bad faith to call any of this “worship” as some protestants do because it’s explicitly not what the churches in question believe.

Which part of the doctrine of iconography necessitates that there are no false synods that promulgate heresy? This objection is far besides the point. The Orthodox Church venerates St Mark of Ephesus who gained renown for being one of a few that stood against the Council of Florence and a false union with the pope. The Church is governed by synod because Christ empowered the apostles who themselves governed by synod (read Acts) and empowered successor bishops (a successional connection that protestant sects are totally alienated from). Many synods have ultimately defended and explicated the Faith because it fulfills Christ’s promise that the gates of hell would not prevail against His Church. But contrasted to synods, the heresy of sola scriptura has manifested vastly more, and more egregious, heresies than even faithless and errant synods have produced. The interpretation and application of scripture by the private discretion of the “christian” led to the defense of abortion, sodomy, adultery, women “clergy”, and ever multiplying sects that call themselves churches. Iconography itself disproves this for it depicts that Christ has one Body. He was not incarnated thousands of times into thousands of bodies. Thus there cannot be thousands of of confessions that call themselves His Body. We venerate the image of our Lord and are joined to His Body in Holy Communion.

The Saints are not dead. They are alive in Christ and present with the Lord. Just as the intercession of a Christian on earth is not a usurpation of Christ as mediator, neither is the intercession of a Christian in heaven.
Arguments from silence in Scripture, misapplied references to literal pagan child sacrifice, or claims that prayer is a usurpation of Christ do not do anything to defeat this basic entailment: a Saint that is absent from the Body is present with the Lord. The Saints make up a great cloud of witnesses to our faith and struggles towards Christ. Their existence out of their body is every bit as real as in their body. Their faith is perfected and their capacity for prayer, if anything, is increased. If we believe in the power of prayer, we ought to ask for theirs.

People think in very static terms about this but you make a good point to keep in mind. For example, if the foreign comparative advantage for commodity X is less than the tariff rate, all the tariff will do is increase domestic production/consumption according to the newly-reshaped competitive balance. So a tariff is unlikely to raise prices more than the competitive disparity for a given item. It'll be cheaper to just make the thing domestically (in the long term of course).
