One of my dream dumb purchases I'd make if I had the money to thow away on really expensive dumb stuff is a binaural headset and microphone. Now the only reason I keep saying it's dumb is because I'd have no idea how to use it. I wouldn't want it for too much, just using it for making really high-quality recordings of various things: singing while walking through the house, walking through the park, Etc, but I wouldn't know what else I would need for that. Think it might be a bit much effort.

I was accused of being passive-aggressive. Honestly, it's not completely undeserved, but nor is it completely accurate. The truth is when I'm angry or upset, I like to take joy in tiny rebellions that most people wouldn't even recognize as such. Like, if you get me really steamed maybe I'll use your bathroom and use the last of the toilet paper and don't even try to replace it. Dumb things like that. In fact I'd like to be more passive-aggressive, but I'm too passive. I've gotta work up to that.

"Lowkey" is the new "litterally". Yes, they are real words, well a word and a phrase people have turned into a single word, that have very good and particular meanings that no other word quite fits the meaning of, that are so overused, often inappropriately, that they practically have no meaning. Even when they fit I hesitate to use them now because I don't want to seem like I'm just mindlessly following the trend.

Double standards. It's okay for them to do certain things but heaven forbid anyone else do it.
Too much soapboxing about social or political issues. Even if I agree with you, enough is enough.
Not caring about issues that don't involve them. Not even trying to see anyone else's point of view.

In a class we were introducing ourselves, and were told to share 1 of our interests. Came someone's turn and they said "I don't have time for interests." Um, no, everyone has time for interests. It's fair to say, I don't have time to pursue my interests, or, I don't have time for hobbies, but interest isn't a matter of time.

And I hesitate to say anything because judging too quickly is bad, I can be wrong, Etc, but yes, I usually know how I feel after just a few minutes.

So I downloaded it and was wondering what to do with it. I used it for the "messages" sound in my personal fastSM soundpack because my computer quacking at me is just the kind of whimsy I look for. Just now I thought hey, why don't I use it for a ringtone? Then I can have a phone that quacks! Sure, it won't look like a duckphone from the 80s, (if that was even a thing. I wouldn't be surprised considering the novelty phones that were popular in the 90s, presumeably they were in the 80s too),

When I was in preschool, I remember for some reason we were talking about phones 1 day and the teacher told me that her phone made a quacking sound like a duck. Now I'm sure you can imagine as a 4 or 5-year-old, I was fascinated by this idea! I chattered on about it at home like little kids do, thought about it, and then forgot about it mostly. Today when I listened to that sound, it came back to me! I thought yeah, wow, this is what I always thought that would sound like!

So a weird, wonderful thing happened to me today. One of those things that sounds small and kinda silly, but meant something special to me. So I never thought of myself this way until now, but I am a bit of a collector (hoarder), of fun sounds that I use for soundpacks, ringtones, system sounds, and stuff like that. Today courtisy of @nprofile…r82c I downloaded a quack sound. It didn't sound like a real duck, more like a toy or someone immitating a duck to be silly.

An interesting thing I've noticed, both on my home and notifications timelines. If a toot is too old, I can't actually read it. All I can see is the name of the user and the time it was posted.

We still have our mourning dove family, Lovey and Dovey, but I don't think Dovey, the male, likes the garage much. Lovey goes out every day, and Dovey comes to visit a couple of times a week as far as we can see. Is it normal for a mated pair to live separately? #Birds

Alright, my desk chair is only a few feet away. Usually I like to sit there because I like using the larger keyboard, and I only sit here when Lilo's in my chair, or when mom and I are watching TV. It's common for me to take naps during the day, but it's rare I feel like I get an actual do over to the day! I didn't have such a great night (though I did try to get a good sleep this time). I was having not such a great day. Not the worst, but just not the best. Shortly after breakfast Mom and Bob went out, and I snuggled back into bed and had a great sleep, and now am feeling pretty good! The coffee shop we go to for trivia is having a craft fair later, so we may go to look around.

Tonight's trivia was general knowledge. I came in 4th place! Normally I don't care, I'm just there for fun, but I want more free drink coupons so it was just a bit frustrating, lol. Next week is mythbusters, and I think I'll be pretty good at that. After Mom and I went for a walk in the park because it was such a nice eveninG.

Anyway, here's where the body positivity part comes in. One day Charlotte comes up to me and we start having a conversation, and I told her I couldn't really swim, and I figured I was too big to learn. She told me that actually being fat gave me a better chance of being a good swimmer because I could float better, and it's something I've never forgotten.
P.S. I can swim a bit better and have taken some lessons since then, but I still wouldn't call myself a swimmer.

So she took lessons, and she worked hard at it for a year. Then she described the night he stood on a bridge in the moonlight, and she swam from the shore over to him and proposed.
Alright, it sounds rather plain to me now, but the way she described it was just breath-taking!

On my first or second day there, I met a 96-year-old woman named Charlotte. The director told me she had checked herself in after her second husband died because she didn't want to be alone, but she was as fit and sharp as anything! One of those to whom the term 'feisty old woman' would apply. The director then went on to tell me the rest of Charlotte's story. When they were dating, her husband discovered she couldn't swim, and told her he wouldn't marry her until she learned.

In 2007, I volunteered in a nursing home. Mostly I sang to the residents, but there was also a woman who wanted me to write her story, which I did. This..is not that story, but another one I heard by chance. I spent a lot of time there and got to know many of the people there.

@nprofile…9vmh And yes. Breaking promises, living like he's the only one in this house. He woke me up at 7 in the morning last week yelling about something on the news. Never found out what. He's mean to our cat, it's gotten so he barely eats anything my mom makes and often insults it, repeatedly. He's a MAGA asshole... He cranks his videogames up as loud as possible... He's just a near constant source of stress.

Turned out to be a lie. All he made was meat with sauce. Figures, the loser! Did I ever talk about the time I was missing my uncle's chilli so I asked if he could make it. "Oh yeah, sure I can make chilli!" So I wait for ages and finally he says, okay let's make it. It had absolutely no spice in it. By definition, it was not chilli. Now again, I'm filled with disappointment, but more anger than before since I've had more time to learn what a waste of space he is.
