I get it and actually most of the things nowadays are wrong.
There are many positive things here also but they are too narrow.
What I am after is that the platform needs to grow. I highly respect the people and the opinions here but it needs to expand somehow. Be more mainstream. I have no answer how to do it. I am just making an observation.

I was active when Nostr started but got bored. I am checking now. Still a small club of mutual admiration. Too much tech. Too negative sentiment. Don't get me wrong, I like and agree with the content, but how on earth is this going to grow with this very narrow focus and the not so user friendly clients?

A place where it would be easy to consume news that are created on site where the news happens and are censorship resistant. I know it is possible to just post in Nostr but like in Twitter one gets news very fast but it is hard to get an overview. It should be like a newspaper/a news site basically.

I am really impressed by the development of web and mobile solutions for Nostr. The commitment and the feeling of beeing in the forefront of something good. It is exciting to see the applications grows in real time with skilled developers and users that really want to contribute with ideas and testresults.
From my experience often the development solves itself sooner or later but fixing the graphics is really hard. No shadow on the apps that are in development but I miss the touch of a graphical designer a bit. Are there possibly any graphical designers that are also maxis or are there only developers that is here?

But like other industries that mature, there will be centralization after a while. The market cap for whole crypto industry (yes, I know the difference of bitcoin and other crypto) is so small so bigger actors can take large positions of it.

Ok, more people have said that so that feels good. But how? Please explain it to me more like if I was a 5th grader :-).
Let me take one example: 10 years ago I specified a censorship resistant news site but the tech was not there so it was impossible to build. Now I think that the tech is here (nostr) but I need to have more specifics.
What would differ between the news application and current implementations of Nostr would be that some more, let's call it fields just to talk db language, would be necessary. It would also be necessary to organize the posts in a grid and just not have it in a constant flow like Twitter.
Would that be possible?

I am exploring possible applications that is possible to build on Nostr. I have got answers that it is possible to build other applications than Twitter/Telegram like.
I used to develop but I have moved too far from that so I have lost the detailed technical knowledge so I can't figure out this for myself. What I don't understand is how to build other applications. Maybe dumb questions but in the different Nostr clients I use now there are basically the same fields and same functionality. How do I add another field that I want to use in current implementations (social media) or totally different fields which would enable another kind of client application?
Or is Nostr locked to social media with a fixed set of fields?
