Good point, but it doesn't quite land.
Information asymmetry explains why people make bad calls in the short term. Sure — if nobody knows fiat gets systematically debased, they hold it. But that's not a mechanism that permanently keeps bad money in circulation. Once the information is out there, people can pivot.
Gresham works differently: even when EVERYONE knows the money is trash, they can't opt out — because the state forces them to accept it at a false rate. That's the difference between "the market is wrong" and "the market has no choice."
Your own argument gives it away: you call it "overvalued by the market." That's a voluntary valuation, even if it's a mistaken one. That's Thiers' territory — good money wins once enough people figure it out.
Gresham needs the stick. Without legal tender parity, you just say "your fiat is garbage, I want more of it for my goods." And bad money dies on its own.

Gresham's Law doesn't work without coercion.
People love to say "bad money drives out good" as if it's some law of nature. It's not. It's a law of legal tender.
Gresham's mechanism only kicks in when the state forces two forms of money to trade at the same face value, despite their real market values being different. Bimetallism was the classic case — government says 1 gold coin = 15 silver coins, market says 1:16. Everyone hoards the undervalued gold and spends the overvalued silver. Makes sense.
But strip away the coercion and the whole thing flips. Thiers' Law: good money drives out bad. People aren't stupid. When they're free to choose, they pick the sounder currency every time.
That's the whole Bitcoin thesis in two sentences. Nobody forces you to use it. It has no legal tender status. And yet it's steadily eating every fiat on the planet.
Gresham's Law is real. It just isn't a law of money — it's a law of government intervention. Remove the intervention, remove the effect.

GM. I have new espresso beans at home. 60 percent Arabica, 40 percent Robusta. Great crema and flavor. From Joerges - Gorilla.
