…oh, and WHY the duck do files (horizontal lines) have varying margins/paddings?
It looks really rather incompetent, when "line items" (files) in the #Ubuntu #Gnome file manager have uneven/different vertical margins/paddings (forgive me; i know HTML+CSS, so that's my nomenclature)
In my not so humble opinion, the #Gnome #UX has degraded beyond repair. #SNAFU
You can't even switch tabs, with the mouse scroll wheel, anymore! 🤬

👉 scenario: a dir with less than 50 files, ctrl+a, F2(rename), yoink, success, all good, but ONE FRIGGEN FILE ain't hilighted/marked anymore - WFT?! …gargh, the mind! …it boggles!🤬
👉 another one: for some unfathomable reason, i NEED to click 3 frelling times - no, not 3 double-clicks, 3 friggen slow clicks …in order to highlight an item in the #Ubuntu #Gnome friggen file manager!🤬

…i'll have to switch to Windows 11 eventually!
And i can't just use a second SSD, if i want to upgrade to a powerful OCuLink eGPU - PCIe4 x4. (Imma NOT gonya run my eGPU via USB4 - that'd be hard nope!)
I need to figure out a reasonable backup/image-nuke-and-pave strategy.
I've always wanted to try #Kubuntu and #KDE! And since the #Gnome file manager has been an utter dumpster fire for quite a while (for too many #Ubuntu releases) …i am SO fed up, by now!
