I’m surprised it’s not obvious to more people that a “rules based international order” that was itself based on theft/manipulation, would fail spectacularly.

Thank you! I (do) would empathize that the world they were growing up in would feel more chaotic and listen carefully to the stories that they told themselves about risks opportunities. That would allow me to have deeper conversations and ask deeper questions. Ultimately, so that they could see that the reflection of their world and opportunities was “largely” a construct of their own beliefs and actions. I would do this so that they could claim their own agency and see determine their own rules in creating what success look like.

In a transition like the one we’re going through, we will each have to ask ourselves - is this country moving towards something we want…..or away from it. Is it likely to be safe, what are the risks, quality of life, etc etc . (From our own perspective) Sudden changes should be expected and secondary options should be explored.
I agree with 2nd amendment and if you are a citizen of El Salvador, you should have a say, (or if it’s a condition of you moving there)
But I also have to ask myself honestly…..how did the that work in protecting US citizens from deception and mass murder where criminals empowered by stolen money (Epstein et all) pulled all the strings.
Fixing money is number 1 (including privacy) because it defunds the entire zero sum game and makes cooperation far more profitable than attacks.

This podcast with @npub1s5y…6q7z and myself talking with Jack and Nick, about the paper they released today is going to create some huge debates. Besides, potentially unifying physics after 95!or so years, If correct, it implies that there is exactly zero risk to a quantum attack on #Bitcoin. (Except through the typical social attack from fiat fears)

Because it imposes a free market where you can only win by contributing value to others. Yes - in any short time horizon (like now with it how early we are) greed and fear will dominate because most people only know a zero sum game and don’t have a mental model for what it could look like. (including why it is hard for you to see it)
Those people will be wrecked time and time again as people start to realize it is more profitable (not just wealth but soul) in the long term to contribute energy to an infinite game.
I suspect that you are still somewhat early in your journey but if you spend more time in this ecosystem with all of the incredible people already living as much as they can on a bitcoin standard:spending sats in circular economies, you will start to see a different world emerging.

2. And who are you transferring your agency to now if you’re not measuring/building and spending in Bitcoin?

I’m saying justice will not be served in the way you think (unfortunately) because it’s part of the entire belief system money being lent into existence. (Just ask yourself - who would win by keeping it that way and then consider the means that they would go to and who/how that they would influence)
The laws and the entire system (including this) are just a small part of those means.
Otherwise, you wouldn’t find people like Snowden, Assange, countless killings/suicides of whistleblowers as enemies of the state.

Unfortunately, I don’t think so. While it “should” make people realize that the entire thing is only powered by their actions in a manipulated system and opt out….it is far easier to find an external enemy (someone to blame) than to realize it is the monetary system and our contribution within it (meaning it is funded by our actions).
Enraged one day - using the money that funds it the next. Even for most who know the root cause.
I know that sounds dark, but it’s equally bright for those who know, and have started to move their time. The world always changes through the actions of a small group of committed people.

Think this is actually a good observation to think through risks but unlikely imo. For that, agents would need physical resources and determine that a controlled bitcoin - which would then likely fail…..is better for them. Zero sum thinking from a zero sum game. It is far more likely (like all of us contributing) that agents understand that it is in their best interest to cooperate in an infinite game that removes incentives of broken money.
The more real risk (not for bitcoin but for some in bitcoin today) is through social attack engineering a risk to change adapt the protocol that then introduces a fork that has some people on wrong side of it (US $ coin, quantum resistant coin, it’s a database instead of money coin)

The growing gap between productivity growth and inflation = far more money being stolen from society to “solve” centralized problems created because of centralized systems.

It’s going to happen regardless Daniel - probably here too. It’s worth considering how much of our thoughts are influenced by someone else’s agenda and ensuring your own web of trust. Also thinking through the implications to trust in a world of agents with increasing capabilities. Even now - you could create an AI agent on any public figure and pretend to be them meaning there will be chaos and more central control trying to stop the thing they’re benefiting from. (for our own good) with most giving it more energy.
On other side, a transition to smaller and more trusted networks anchored in privacy, and trust. It’s coming far faster than most realize and it’s best to start getting ready now.

Part of the reason I did it so people could think through the implications. You’re not thinking far enough ahead. These can already be trained on any public figure and pretty soon - anyone….by anyone. That means, privacy and smaller networks where you can trust real people will become increasingly critical ….and fast.
