i concur, very common bug in Python code, everyone has to be bitten once to learn this lesson.
Using a mutable default value is generally a mistake in python.
It makes sense once you understand that the python signature is a line of code evaluated when the module is imported, and that the value stored as default is an object created at that time, not every time the function is called.

you don't elect these people because they'll be perfect, but they'll be easier to pressure into doing the right things, protesting against trump has almost zero effect, protesting against a democratic government, is much more likely to give results, because they actually have to care about you voting for them, and how it looks to their base.
Sure, there is a balancing act, as if you vote no matter what, they might not care, but it's almost always better to do so.

c'est un mail "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)" venant de googlemail.com, qui me dit que le mail join n'a pas pu être délivré à <prenom>.<nom>@google.com (je n'ai en effet pas d'addresse google, ceux-ci sont réservés aux employés).
Le mail (spam) joint ressemble à une promo décathlon pour me faire gagner un sac, et bien sur les liens sont vers des domaines imbitables AWS.

i think people want to compare how shocking it is, but i don’t think it’s fair, it’s probably more devastating, and it’s not similar in situation at all, as you point out, the US wasn’t at war with Japan during pearl harbor, and it got them into it, which was devastating to Japan, an incredible strategic mistake, if only because the US had a lot more under the hood, to hit back.
Russia doesn’t have anywhere near the same capacity.

i was also very concerned at first, and i'm still quite anxious, but i must say some videos i saw of people preaching against sectarianism and for inclusivity, not just across different muslim faiths, but reaching to christians and others, emerging a few days ago, gave me some hope that the coalition is not going to be dominated by extremists.
I really hope that materialize, but it's just that, hope, there is reasons to be worried for sure.

i hope populism and authoritarianism are not the only values that can be culturally propagated efficiently, that a culture of mutual support, welcoming of difference, voluntary cooperation, rejection of unchecked authorities, can be fostered at local level in enough places that people see the value in pushing these values at the top as well.
We must keep in mind that it took them time to get there, we can’t expect easy solutions, they have been working hard at it, so shall we.

yeah, it's weird, could simply be ignorance of how alt text work, and too afraid to ask at this point? yeah, sometimes i check even the things that have "meat" all over their packaging (name and pictures) and all, and the list of ingredient is fully vegan.
We also have the other kind too, the ones that have absolutely no obvious reason not to be vegan, but somehow contains milk extracts 😞

Do you know if it's possible for foreigners traveling to the US to get an update/booster shot while there? It's become harder to get booster shots around here (Netherlands) if you are not "at risk" (everyone is, duh, but they don't think that's the case), and i'll be traveling for business reasons soon, so that would be nice to get up to date. It's fine if not free.
No worries if you don't know, but search results are polluted by "travel requirements" updates, so it's hard to find 😞
