If you believe in data, autonomous cars are by far safer than human drivers. Not perfect though.

I had an AI generated avatar for a while but when my 13 year old artist daughter found out she immediately made me change to my current one she drew in like 30 seconds. Anything human is better than AI she said.

I used to believe that in my country, the US, we had free speech but recently I think twice about saying anything negative about our new God king.

Just crazy stuff.
CBS says it has nothing to do with the merger just a change in late night programming environment.
Colbert brings in ratings and has been the #1 non-FOX late night host for the last 9 months.
I don't want it to believe it is for censorship but it certainly looks that way to me.

A lot of the Trump supporters that like Trump because they want a dictator see an up and coming Hitler in Mr Vance. Plus he is as prolific a lair as Trump and better at it in some weird way.

My thought for today:
After hearing a commentator say one of the reasons the US election is so close is that a good portion of Trump supporters want a fascist dictator like Trump and will use their vote to get it. I guess I saw it before but that was like a light bulb going on. People want that in America?
I have to start working on accepting that fact and what it means.

One of my 12 year old twins is aspiring to be an artist. She absolutely hates AI art. I have been watching some of these AI Panavision trailers that are all over YouTube. She yells at me when I do. I watched a YouTube on how they are made and it is disturbingly easy. But clearly ripping off others' IP. One of my favorite movies is The Fifth Element. Here is one of the AI trailers of it.

I was talking about intentionally using them as a weapon. The Kessler effect I think is more unintentional (but still very possible).
I will try to dig it up but I read a troubling article on the effects of aluminum ions on the upper atmosphere from Starlink "de-orbiting" so many satellites. They do it all the time already. That atmospheric layer shouldn't be conductive but may soon be. What that would do to life on Earth is hard to predict.

This thread put a troubling thought in my head. Controlling the most widely used internet connection is power but couldn't a constellation of so many satellites be a weapon? Send 100 of them after a rival's low earth sat. One should be able to crash into it. You could arrange the satellites so that other launches would likely not make it past the "wall" of Starlinks.
