Do other @npub1rx6…pdar users notice problems with the #Android app recently? I often get the spinning "loading" graphic for long periods. Like when I try to open news links. Sometimes they take so long, I give up. I tried the same with the official @npub163h…mv0n Android app and it worked well.

I have bamboo growing in my yard. It's not as big as that shown in the photo, but I feel like I need to learn to do something useful with it instead of just cutting it back when it gets out of control.
I've seen bamboo scaffolding in use when I visited Singapore and Malaysia. I thought it was strange and dangerous at first glance. After considering careful engineering of it and the reduction of carbon footprint, I think it must be quite good.

I'm thinking of moving to another server because the 500-character limit is too restrictive. When I was starting out with Mastodon, I considered joining @npub1j7t…kn6q because I'm a developer, but at the time they had an English-only rule, which I think is unfair.

Hundreds of years ago, before modern communication methods and rapid travel existed, #statesRights made more sense. Today there are state and local laws that should be at the national level instead. The legalization of #abortion is an example. Left to the states to decide, it is dividing the people of the country with outdated thinking. #Election laws, specifically the #ElectoralCollege, are also outdated and need to be replaced with national laws.

#Trump makes a "bigly" deal about moving responsibility for #abortion laws into state legislatures. That's NOT a good thing. Abortion needs to be legalized throughout #USA via national, federal law. Women in America don't want to limit their movement in the country to avoid backward, antiquated laws enacted in some states by religious, old, white men.

Kudlow complains that this makes #Harris look better. He claims that real economic growth was during the #Trump regime, before the #COVID-19 pandemic. He fails to mention that Trump's economic "growth" came only after he caused a huge decline. Trump inherited a good economy from #Obama, then he ruined it, and he never recovered it back to the Obama level.

Microsoft removes ads from Skype. Impressive. NOT! 🙄
Skype should never have HAD ads. The last time I used it, maybe in 2010, it didn't have ads. As far as I know, Zoom hasn't had ads and I think WebEx doesn't, either.
