My take on the dice entropy thing.
Unless you arrive at the same result using two different software the "just roll dice bro" recommendation is as fail prone as trusting the Coldcard RNG. In the Coldcard case there was a TRNG but it wasn't being used. What guarantees your dice rolls are not being ignored on your new system of choice?

If rsync from macOS to Linux hangs or shows some weird behavior it’s because there is a clear mismatch between the implementations.
Modern MacOS changed from the Rsync published by the Samba project to OpenRsync published by the OpenBSD project.
Licensing drama as always and it seems both programs don’t really talk to each other very well on their defaults.
To avoid the problem you can set the --protocol= flag on MacOS (or OpenBSD). I think --protocol=29 should work and if not try 28.

You can encrypt a volume using LUKS while keeping the headers on a separate file. That way the data will be Indistinguible from random gibberish.
If authority asks what's in the driver you can just say you bought it and the previous owner might have used some file shredder to clean his personal files. Plausible.

Fulcrum initial sync is extremely slow. If your computer crashes during sync you have to start all over again. Even after you finish it, if you close it incorrectly it while it writes something you are also toast.
I found that doing periodic shutdowns and running a backup is the best strategy here. And then repeat from time to time after you get it synced.
If anyone is wondering the speed in comparison ti electrs makes it totally worth the pain.

FreeBSD can now run OCI (docker style) containers. Both FreeBSD native and Linux.
Note that the Linux containers are running on the Linuxlator compat layer and not under a vm like MacOS and Windows does.

I wish there was something on the same level controlled and deployed through SSH ansible/nix style.
I know there is some Terraform stuff for Mikrotik but I’m not a super fan of their stuff since they tend to strictly adhere to standard so no 7Ghz as far as I know.

Is it being reverse proxied by Nginx or Caddy? On Nginxservers have a limit on the POST size. On Nginx client_max_body_size is set to 1MB by default. I have no idea how Caddy handles this.

On Alder lake and later CPUs with big.LITTLE, is there a point in pinning the efficient CPU cores to VMs and leaving the big cores for the VM? For a hybrid setup where I have a few vms running on the side 24/7 but also want to sporadically run something bursty on the host computer.
Not Proxmox, just pure linux with libvirt.

Hell the crazy things I used to do to connect to the internet after my mother went to sleep. She didn't wanted me using the internet because of phone charges so I secretly got into the roof to strip the phone wire bare and connect my own hidden cable that I would unroll and route it to my room to connect to my modem at night. YES part of it was to watch porn and download mp3s and roms. No I wasn't of legal age. Did my life got ruined by this? Well I'm an IT engineer now so arrive at your own conclusion.
I think this current hysteric moral panic is definitely being pushed by a lobby of a nascent AI industry that wants to create a problem for their surveillance tech solution. Its a big grift that aligns with incentives of power hungry politicians and data hungry tech giants.
