That last part is worth sitting with.
The man has access to more data, more institutional intelligence, more resources than almost anyone alive. And what all of that information is telling him is: get out.
This is not a man who believes the project is going well.

Her recent post told followers to copy and paste a prompt, then upload their bank statements, debt statements, bills, and income information to an LLM and let it sort out their money problems. No discussion of what happens to that data. No policies around how the tool processes what you share. No procedures for evaluating the output. No accountability for when it gets something wrong. Every white progressive/leftist/liberal space I have ever encountered treats joy as a luxury. Something you get to have after the work is done. A treat for the people who showed up and did not cause harm and managed their feelings and stayed in the room. Joy as reward. Joy as the thing you earn by suffering through the hard parts first.
That framing will burn you out. Because the hard parts do not end. The myth does not take a break.

Most people cannot sit with the second option. So they choose the first. They call Black joy performative, delusional, irresponsible given the circumstances. Anything to avoid the conclusion the math is pointing toward.
The cost is this: you cannot access what you cannot understand. And you cannot understand what the myth told you was impossible. That keeps you locked out of the very thing that would make this work survivable for you.

I just finished a meeting with a client who needed advice on a situation where their customer made a request that does not align with their team's ethics or organizational core values. Hasan Piker, of the Young Turks and one of the loudest voices in white left media, told Black people to "keep advocating for your own fucking demise" because we did not move on his timeline. That is not a gaffe. That is the architecture revealing itself under pressure.

A Rutgers study on income mobility found that more students experience upward mobility at HBCUs than at comparable Predominantly White Institutions. Nearly 70% of HBCU students attain at least middle-class incomes. Two-thirds of low-income students who attend HBCUs end up in at least the middle class. Less downward mobility. More upward movement. Better outcomes, with fewer resources.

This resolution does not change policy. It does not redistribute wealth. It does not repair a single material harm. What it does is name the thing officially, on a global stage, in language that can no longer be called fringe or political.
That naming is exactly what makes it dangerous to the myth.

I want you to pay attention to what comes next because what is about to be platformed in response to this resolution is going to be a masterclass in how anti-Blackness operates when it feels threatened.

Today the United Nations voted 123 to 3 on Resolution A/80/L.48, the Declaration of the Trafficking of Enslaved Africans and Racialized Chattel Enslavement, formally labeling the transatlantic slave trade as one of the gravest crimes against humanity in history.

People in community are accountable to each other. They develop shared goals. They sacrifice for each other. They stay, even when staying is inconvenient, because their survival is bound up in the people around them. Community is not a feeling. It is a structural relationship with real stakes.
Networks operate on a different logic entirely. A network is a collection of useful connections you activate when you need something and maintain only as long as the exchange benefits you.

I was listening to a podcast recently and the guest said something that stopped me mid-thought. What just happened in that comment is the pivot. The conversation moved from the harm being expressed to the needs of the person reading about it. Without pausing. Without asking if that was what was needed. Without any demonstrated awareness that centering your comfort in response to my pain is itself a form of harm.

Think about how far the language has traveled.
The last time this country had to face its racist foundation, very few people were using the words "white privilege." Even inside the movement fighting for equality, there were limits placed on how loudly the truth of white supremacy could be named. The systems, institutions, and policies doing the most harm had to be spoken around, not through.
That is not where we are now.

University of Michigan research confirms what many Black Americans have lived: white Americans, despite being the physically healthiest group, are the least resilient. White men experience the fewest stressful life events of any group and yet each one hits them harder. The explanation from the researchers is direct. They are less prepared because they have less experience.
That lack of preparation is not neutral. It has consequences for everyone around them.

At the start of this year I decided to relocate.
Not as an expat. As an immigrant.
That distinction matters. Most resources for people leaving the U.S. are built around one goal: replicating the American experience somewhere cheaper or sunnier. That's not what I'm trying to do. And finding support for life beyond the supremacy myth has already revealed how few structures exist for someone leaving the U.S. who isn't trying to take the U.S. with them.
