They have always known what HBCUs do.
A Rutgers study on income mobility found that more students experience upward mobility at HBCUs than at comparable Predominantly White Institutions. Nearly 70% of HBCU students attain at least middle-class incomes. Two-thirds of low-income students who attend HBCUs end up in at least the middle class. Less downward mobility. More upward movement. Better outcomes, with fewer resources.
