Just browsed the #USpol hashtag while not logged in (i.e. my blocks are not in effect), and my God, it's flooded with trolls badmouthing #Harris over #Gaza.
They're trying to convince people to vote for #JillStein, who dined with #Putin at the 10th anniversary gala of RT, Putin's mouthpiece newspaper!
These people are not genuine. They're helping #Trump win, and thus enable the conquest of #Ukraine, not save lives in Gaza.

Trump's Fed *wasn't* independent. He forced the Fed to keep interest rates low, at a time when that was hugely inadvisable. This, and his egregious mismanagement of COVID, caused the 2020 crash.

I seriously doubt that would work. Masks are now considered symbols of weakness (“you're not afraid of a little cold, are you?”), ignorance (“don't you know COVID is over?”), duplicity (“COVID is a hoax”), and economic failure (the economy took a dive in 2020 when masking was common, and that's what people remember).

By the time there's an epidemic of pro-Trump people smashing into politicians' houses, any response is way too late. People are supposed to foresee threats, and do something about them, *before* they become actual problems.
But almost no one does.
We've seen this with global warming, too. Almost nobody took it seriously until the weather started getting ugly. Now it's too late, and we'll be lucky not to be extinct by century's end.

In your average sci-fi video game, e.g. #FreeSpace, where there are big starships as well as small ones, the big ships are usually heavily armed but glacially slow compared to the small ones.
#StarTrek is interesting in that it's the other way around: if you try to run from a humongous Nebula-class starship in your little runabout, it will both easily outrun you and easily overpower your shield. Unless you've got a trick up your sleeve, you're not getting away.

If it doesn't have to be quick, NFC is an option, as are various peer-to-peer file transfer applications that can work over the local Wi-Fi network, such as Syncthing and SSH/SFTP. But you're not going to beat the speed of a cable.

Their salaries definitely do depend on them understanding it. Problem is their plan for when the grift runs out is to jump ship and go find another industry to destroy. Short-term thinking. Note that there are two different things named “Black Lives Matter”: the slogan of an uncoordinated movement against police misconduct, and a registered-nonprofit organization that made the aforementioned statement in support of Smollett.
It is very unfortunate that they have the same name. The truth of the movement and its slogan is self-evident. The moral rightness of the organization, on the other hand, is not so clear, and it gives the movement a bad name.

Fun fact: DVD-RAM was specifically designed to be used like a regular random-access block device. I never tried, but you probably could use dd with one of those.
DVD-RAM is extremely unusual for an optical disc format. It's basically the optical equivalent of a floppy or hard disk, with concentric tracks, hard sectors (that you can see), and 100,000+ write cycles.
DVD-RAM never caught on, though, perhaps because it was expensive and USB flash drives aren't.
