There is so much you can do about it! The last decade was rough for me due to lower back pain. The doctor told me I had a degenerative disc disease on L1 S5. Once you focus on it, you can completely eliminate pain. At least very likely so. But mostly morning stretching and regular lower back exercises is what keeps pain free. Nutrition to decrease inflammation is key too. Just do the research and follow through. I realize I have to stretch and exercise it at least a couple times a week if not daily. But it’s a good trade-off to feel healthy.

Unfortunately - 💯. I guess time locks on multisigs could make it non-negotiable for guilty pleas as you can disable access for yourself for x amount of time. Otherwise they will use all their power to frame you and confiscate your coins for “allowing” you to guilty plea.

What I understand from the Bessent interview is that US will do whatever it takes to confiscate #bitcoin from whoever they can. If you study history, this is how the state turns on you. This is why we will be the target. They’ll find any reason to go after people that publicly have hundreds and thousands of #BTC. Is it just me or if a self proclaimed economist shows overly emotional, I immediately discount their perspective. If you’re excited about your own narrative, it seems that you married it. I am not sure you’re willing to change your mind when new data comes in. Even keel economist who weigh on both side of the argument with positive and negative is the only way to go. I largeIy agree - he is very good at re-programming people’s minds and that’s how he is so successful. It is his biggest super power. Narrative driven marketing is very important part of his brand. But falling for it or not, he is undoubtedly the most productive person on the planet. How do you reconcile this? I still believe that he must be anchored in reality more than the next person if the market keeps rewarding him. I view it as a very complicated opinion/position that one might never quite untangle. Capital gains in the US on #bitcoin is the only hurdle holding it back from everyone using it as a medium of exchange. Paying taxes in #BTC, purchasing houses, cars, and any products priced over $10k makes sense first if #btc becomes legal tender. This is just a matter of time. LN will see increase in usage by 10x for coffee type of purchases. Scarcity of block space will mark fees at 100x of the current levels easily. Act accordingly and store #UTXO in 1mm stat chunks at minimum.

#GBTC is NOT experiencing pressure to lower fees. This is the only chart they care about. (See below) Fiat returns on the trust. As #bitcoin goes to $100k + they will keep milking fees for as long as they can. Even if another 250k of #BTC leaves the trust, they will still sit on a cash cow worth milking. They promise to lower fees but my guess is that they will stretch this as long as they can and eventually go to 99 basis points. Over the next couple of years, they will end up with ~100k #bitcoin, which will still be worth $10B minimum. 1% of $10B is $100M in fees yearly.

Good question. In 15 years, people will be more technologically adept. We’ll also experience more frauds like FTX along the way, which will keep reminding us “not your keys, not your #bitcoin.” There will be more elegant multi-sig solutions available. The older folks that store it with e.g. ETF custodian will also grow old and pass away. My prediction is that if you have a meaningful amount relative to your wealth (whatever that is in 15 years from now) you’re likely to 80% self-custody and 20% service-custody. Any small amounts will be service-custodies as the payments will work better with L2s and L3s.
