your post confused me with what you were executing. it isn't making a temporary writable file, it's running the command in a subshell and passing the output as stdin. it exists as a pipe.

i noticed you have @npub18s7…wqln listed as a verified VPS host at https://mailcow.email/vps/. when i spoke to them they _refused_ to support self-hosted email so i moved hosts to https://www.panix.com which explicitly allows self-hosted email w/o prior arrangement if you use their relay server.
i'd suggest removing hetzner from your list, since they aint worth a bale of hay much less a bucket of milk.

given otherwise great conditions, bristlenose plecos can thrive in something as small as a 10g. that's just about the only kind that can, though. anything with a number instead of a name sure as hell can't (and yes, i've seen them get sold to parents exactly like you said 😦)
what really pets my peeve is adding something like a snail or pleco to "eat the algae" when the real problem is the ecosystem is getting too much light because it isn't on a timer!
