the entire dragon age series has been a mess, tbh. dragon age: origins was a masterpiece that took seven years to make, but then each and every one of its sequels was troubled - dragon age 2 was forced out in a year and a half, leading to a game notorious for reusing identical dungeons for quests; inquisition was a good, but stunted dragon age game attached to massive, empty open worlds, and the veilguard is an abomination spawned of ten years of development hell.
