The podcasting world has figured out that western government debt is unsustainable.
I was very worried about this 20 years ago. Now I am very bored with it.
Just accept that whatever you think you have in the bank or in financial assets isn't really there. It is a huge game of smoke and mirrors where everything that you think you own, is in fact a derivative that guarantees you nothing.
The money that you think you have saved, has been lent to the government and they have spent it. Some of it on stupid wars, some of it on COVID payouts and some of it on government salaries.
Sadly, this a flaw in democracy. We vote for the government that can most effectively convince us that they can spend our savings forever without consequences.
Self custody bitcoin and physical assets such as gold and land are things that you really own.

We have two ways of paying for content on the internet:

When only 1% of people could read and write, they could communicate in a way in which the other 99% could not participate.
Right now, less than 1% of people in the world are comfortable with Public/Private key identity.
Those that couldn't read and write found it difficult to own property as they couldn't read the contracts. They had to rely on third parties for verification.
Those that haven't yet learned about private keys rely on platforms to verify the identities that they do not own. The digital content that they publish or purchase is owned by the platforms.
Everything on platforms is rented, everything on Nostr is owned.
Without private property there is no freedom.
The good news is that learning about private keys is much easier than learning to read and write. So the emancipation of the serfs in the digital space might happen a whole lot quicker than it did in the physical space.
The internet is a revolution much like the printing press was.
And we are just getting started...

The real message is not about Isreal or the Jews.
He is exposing the biggest lie in history. Name that the Nazis were far right.
There were not in any shape or form pro capitalist, pro business or pro free market. They wanted a huge state that controlled everything and the used hatred of wealth and private business to get it.

Simple answer is yes.
Until recently we owned nothing on the internet.
Bitcoin gives us money that we can own.
Nostr gives us identity that we can own.
Fanfares gives us media that we can own.
Of course legacy structures will always push custodial solutions. They will be easier and people that choose them will periodically get ripped off.
Those that do the proof of work for self custody will have security of ownership.

This one is worth watching.
@nprofile…zyc0 identifies the risk of someone embedding an image of the prophet Mohamed onto the blockchain.
This would have the unfortunate effect of turning much of the muslim world against Bitcoin and against Bitcoiner full node runners.
