Basically, the process of shedding KYC for fiat transactions within those banks must be a very well known process in order for 99.9% of all criminal financial activity to avoid capture, fines, or prosecution.
We well understand the tools and process of shedding KYC in Bitcoin, but have very little understanding of how those three banks do it.
Do you know how? Is it common knowledge? LLMs don’t appear to know or are configured to avoid revealing the details of how (unlike the level of details they share about how CoinJoin works).

- then freely conduct as much illicit fiat activity as you want without consequence because those banks don’t follow AML rules
Is bank selection all that it takes for 99.9% of fiat criminal to circumvent AML? Sounds too simple to be true.

If AML regulations have less than a 0.1% impact on criminal finances, how do 99.9% of the criminals either a) avoid performing KYC or b) avoid getting caught after they have undergone KYC (despite 4.6 million suspicious activity reports)?
How are 99.9% either getting around KYC or avoiding getting caught after completing KYC? Illegal or not, how they are so successful at avoiding fiat KYC or its implications? Their methods should become general knowledge.
In bitcoin, KYC countermeasures like P2P, CoinJoin, PayJoin, Stonewall, Lightning, and more are well known BTC countermeasures. What are the most successful fiat countermeasures the 99.9% are doing?

If you have a nearby meetup, try to attend. We have two regulars who drive 1.5 hours most months.
If you don’t have a nearby meetup, consider starting one. Pick a consistent time and location that you can reliably attend. Make all who attend feel welcome and included. Focus all discussions on bitcoin to not waste their time (it’s why they came).

Well said. Cloudflare services are used for free by most of the internet every day. DNS, WAF, CDN, and much more.
Big enterprise customers pay for the best services from them, but Cloudflare gives so much of their services away for free to smaller shops (which we appreciate).
While servingbitcoin.com does sell-host on the very hardware that we sell, we use free Cloudflare services to help protect our nodes from the worst of the internet.
Disruptions are frustrating. But Cloudflare is a net positive for smaller business like us.
There just are not many other alternatives at their price point of free.

- automatically create a Nostr public and private key for the existing account
- provide these automatically generated values in the user profile
- provide the ability for the user to replace these values with a Nostr identity of their own

That is too slow. Likely bottlenecks:
- storage: NVMe > SSD > HDD
- storage connection: M.2 > SATA > USB
- Network: Wired > WiFi
- TOR: If using Tor you might have some high latency connections to peers. Reboot and hope for better connections.

Best practice:
- use your own node
- use a dedicated PC or laptop that was wiped and only has Sparrow Wallet installed
- configure Sparrow to use your own node
- import multisig xpub into Sparrow (read only)
- using only air-gapped methods with your hardware wallets and Sparrow, sign a transaction (optionally send it)

Most of the time, no. Most run a node to a) be more self sovereign and b) to serve bitcoin by making it a little more decentralized.
Some node runners optionally install Lightning services. By opening channels with other nodes to route Lightning payments, your node can charge and earn a small amount of fees.
