We're thinking of doing a car boot sale as sellers. Does anyone with experience have any tips? We've got a table and a cash float of £30 and a load of carrier bags. We will be selling bric a brac, toys and ornaments mainly, and we're just looking to cover our pitch fee, and get rid of the stuff!

We make fish pie (fish in sauce, with mash on top), and cottage/shepherd's pie (beef/lamb in gravy with mash on top), but we don't (usually) make a pie like that with chicken, or pork. Why?

I'm suddenly seeing a lot of bot accounts using the hashtags I use on a regular basis. For example the bio will read
"Follow me if you're interested in the castanwyddeneccles hashtag. I'm a global hashtag sharing bot from tags.pub. When content with the castanwyddeneccles hashtag appears on the Social Web, this account will re-share the content to its followers."
Is this a thing now? I don't think I like it, and I'm blocking them as they pop up.

Question: How reliable are published sunrise/sunset times? I've been using an online calendar in my daily posts (set to Manchester)but I bought a weather station and the times shown on that differ by a few minutes (also set to Manchester). Looking around, some other online sources differ a little, but not as much. I'm guessing the time depends on the exact location of the viewpoint from which it's taken.
I don't need an exact time, it's just for interest, but I'd like to follow one source!

Also, is it (if it is fungus) likely to spread to my pots and planters in the garden?
We're sad about the hedge, but as we want to move eventually anyway, we don't want to invest a lot of time, energy and money replacing it. But it's a good screen between us and next door.
If it gets the hedge at the front too, (this bit is to one side), then I'm worried about the hydrangeas that grow up through that one....

Our privet hedge seems to be dying. A lot of leaves have dropped off, and the rest look like this. A quick search suggests honey fungus, or privet wilt. I think it's doomed. This section is basically rooted in a low wall, there's no way we can dig it out.
Is it likely to kill off the big fuchsia which is growing at one end and the roses that ramble through?
If we left the dead hedge as a screen (and for birds to perch in) is there anything that would survive being trained through it?

Planning next year's daily photo. There are two options. One is the front border of our garden. It will get more colourful, and has large pink hydrangeas in summer.
The other is a view of the sky with some trees to indicate the season. I'm going to run a poll in the reply, to see if anyone has a preference.

Well, the market was alright. Quiet, but despite the rain, several people came. I took almost sixty pounds, shared with the woodworking group. They made seventy pounds in the end. We'll go again in two weeks.

Walking to work this morning, Manchester, UK, facing west, about an hour before sunrise, I saw two white lights like bright stars in the sky that looked unfamiliar. About an inch apart, about 20-25 degrees above the horizon. Steady, not twinkling or blinking, not moving in relation to each other, or noticeably across the sky. As I walked and watched them, in the space of 4 or 5 strides, they dimmed and disappeared. What did I see? I'm assuming satellites entering the earth's shadow?
