Discovered another cupboard of father in law's junk. Including this, which is apparently a banjolin (banjo mandolin). No one in the family plays such a thing.
We didn't dig deep, but I did also see a tennis racquet. No one in this house ever played tennis.

I was the same, and I hope I'm learning how to shift my perspective a bit. I've seen it said that most things listed as "convenient" could also be labelled "accessible", but society prefers to think consumers are getting an easy life, rather than someone who really needs it getting assistance.

Apparently, it's a rule that they have to have a diesel in case the steam train breaks down. I think the steam loco could handle the coaches well enough.
We have heard steam whistles passing through before, but never seen one at the station. It was nice to stand in the sun and watch it.
If only we had our car, we could have gone and raced it down the motorway, as the railtrack and motorway run side by side for a while...

Wel, aethon ni i'r siopau, ac ar y ffordd adre, welon ni hwn - trên stêm yn ail-llenwi efo dŵr yn y gorsaf Eccles!
Well, we went to the shops, and on the way home, we saw this - a steam train refilling with water at Eccles station!
