Well, they encrypt them, but I hate putting things on the Internet before they are finished. Seems sort of pointless and I never use it.
I write my articles with my Obsidian plug-in or my Jumble client, which both have local drafts, and just publish from there. Or don't publish.

Yeah, I got my two nephews, as well, and then all of the senior citizens and first communion kids at church.

Well, they own most of the residential real-estate, but a lot of us are living in it with them and/or inheriting it, and there are plenty of families where everyone is being fed off of Grandma's pension.
It's just a gigantic demographic overhang. Nobody wants to build lots of houses, to bring down prices, as they know that the population will shrink dramatically, afterward, and then they're stuck with a bunch of empty houses. It'll turn around, really fast, and then everything will be differently weird.

Agree. It was a big mistake to try to onboard so many normies to it, while it was all basically messy, buggy, prototypes and ghostware. Just ended up with a lot of bad press.
My Jumble is now legit a joy to use, but that took me over a year of intense programming and testing and constantly coordinating with a bunch of other devs and relay admins.

I'm developing for crappy hardware and extremely slow internet connections, so as soon as it goes over 20, I start batch-processing. And I only stream in over the user's own inboxes, favorites, and some presents. It's full outbox (I add the outboxes of whoever is being responded to), but not full inbox, except on one component specifically for that.
Let me add some logging, to see how many relays the follows component has.

It's really easy to do. I just needed a scheme for the room links, so that everyone involved had the exact same link.
If they jump in from any event, the event id is in the link (easy). If they jump in from a profile page — i.e. I call you and/or you call me — then the link contains your pubkey and mine, sorted alphabetically. Then we both have the same link. Took me forever to think of that. 😂 Durrrr...

Yeah, that's why I added _Start a Call_ to all of the menus. If you're chatting and someone says, _Let's take this to a call_, then you shouldn't have to figure out how to call. You just jump in because the link is right there.

I have Hivetalk as the call jump-client, at the moment, but I could add CornyChat in the settings, and let users switch. 🤔
Adding a live-ticker could be another option, with default ON. I have to think a bit, of how best to implement that. Maybe I'll check out how Amethyst does it.

If you click the buttons on the relay pulse component, then you can see the last five notes from each of your follows, or a panel opens and shows you an informational view about everyone currently online, who has a profile event. It lists your follows first, then people you might want to follow.

It's just a way to create and publish custom relay filters. You say what your feed should contain, save it with a name, and then you can click that name in any spell-supporting client and see the same feed.
I had done the same, in a GitRepublic prototype, but this publishes the filters as events, which means you stay client-independent.

I only see one. You don't have the tags set, just the stringified json. If you want to do multiple NIP05 tags, you need to add them to the kind 0 tag list, where the client tag is.

Without lots of coffee, I am asleep by 21:30 and wake up at 5:30, without an alarm. With lots of coffee, I can extend my day to 22:30 or even 23:30, and still get up at 5:30, with an alarm.
Small amounts of coffee don't seem to have a lasting effect, but I used to drink a lot of coffee.

It feels like a vacation, until I notice that our kids are having problems and our parents are having problems, and the house is molding, and my husband's health is deteriorating, as is mine, and that there are unpaid bills at the bottom of the messy mail pile... and I remember that housewives have an actual job and that I hadn't been doing it.

Everytime I am out of full-time work, for a bit, it first feels like it's a vacation. And then I start to notice that everyone and everything around me has been slowly, but dramatically, falling apart. While I was spending all day reviewing project plans and attending important meetings.
Including myself. I was also decaying. I was decaying and I didn't even notice. I just felt tired. So, I drank more coffee. But I was still tired, underneath the coffee.

It's called "social media" because we are here to *socialize*. Humans socialize by interacting with humans. This includes discussing the correctness or incorrectness of replies. If your feed is just a command prompt, then it's just a crappy command prompt.

I'm actually more talented as a writer, than as a developer, but I do both.
There aren't actually that many writers on Nostr. Especially any who write about subjects other than Nostr and Bitcoin. Almost all of the money here goes to the developers, rather than the content creators, which is backward and probably slowing down adoption.

Well, maybe, but quantity isn't irrelevant and quality can be stymied by being spread too thin. AI and robotics probably makes strength in numbers less important. We can see that in Ukraine, very clearly.
At any rate, fertility is falling, worldwide. It's just that they have a baby boom generation coming of age, now, so they are set to lead, demographically.

I think this is all daft, but now we're stuck hoping America wins or Europe is fucked. We're already getting Iranian refugees. I was just at the mall and they were trying to get a group of them jobs there. Which is a good idea, and more power to them and the Iranians are model guests, but our unemployment is climbing, already, and we're short on housing. No idea, where we are going to put them all.
At least, the weather is warm, now. Always worst when they arrive in the middle of winter.
