If you think about it agriculture was a terrible idea. All it did was allowed for first movers to raise armies, which they needed to defend the crops. Then of course the prisoner's dilemma as you and neighbouring states now have standing armies. So warfare and empire building become inevitable. And then you need to innovate to stay top dog. Rinse and repeat, and here we are with thinking machines. Do you think we can go back to hunting and gathering? I think we'd be happier that way, but what if the Chinese elected to keep their city states and farms? Also, if you think about it from a Christian perspective it was too late the moment of the fall. Thanks. I did end up going down this route but in my case Open Claw managed to bork itself so I've gone back to Claude for now. (It did connect to Maple, but the performance was subpar with some weird formatting / syntax issues showing up in the chat. Then it could 't go back to Claude and I had to mess around a lot to get the model changed back eventually). Not only that but in my experience the cheaper Claude models are too limited so I am using their upper models and getting killed by API fees.

Laser would like to get your opinion on this which I've been going down the rabbit hole on. Basically I see it's obvious that Zionist interests have been running a psyop (The Scofield Bible etc) to coopt Christendom (especially American, Evangelical Christianity) to support Zionist policy, based on the manufactured theology that says God has two plans, one for Jews, one for Christians, which we know as dispensationalism.

I'm a bit fed up with the cope. Bitcoin's true USP is self custody outside of the regulated financial system and the ETFs were a wrong turn. We might just be decades early. I think Bitcoin is still the best simply because there is no better alternative. Gold is great until you get 6102d. But if the rest of the world doesn't get it then Bitcoin could underperform other financial assets for years. There's no guarantees around short to medium term price appreciation. Black swans like a hot war between the US and China could put back adoption decades. Or speed it up. But a paper wrapper around Bitcoin custodied in the tradition financial system. Really? It's been great for OGs enjoying their "Bitcoin IPO moment" and trading their corn for, what? Fiat? Probably they are buying property and other assets. Probably buying plan B and C houses in different jurisdictions if they're smart. But many of them are probably fed up with all the drama and are just happy to take the blue pill and live in comfort with a paid off house, car, dividend paying stocks, and some global travel. Can't blame them really. But all this cope from Bitcoiners is depressing. There's people on my timeline pretending they are looking forward to the return of the "58k gang". Really? The regular Japanese is hardworking, smart, resourceful, honest, and creative. The failure is with the LDP and Japan Inc. The elites in Japan seem to think they graduate Todai and live happily ever after. I see a lot of arrogance among the elite classes who are shielded from much of the decay of Japanese society and seem blissfully unaware of the threats. Dealing with the government and corporate Japan and their antiquated, proprietary, and insecure IT systems is a daily frustration. Tourists are a menace and lower the quality of life for all living in Japan. But corporate Japan doesn't make things foreigners want to buy anymore so this is the only way we can earn dollars to buy our food and energy security. The one thing we have is a peaceful, stable society, but if we import millions of young men from the third world can we not expect the same kind of problems experienced by the Europeans?

Was due to report on it again this week but we had to cut it for time. Discussions are being reported in the Nikkei and looks like we'll get 20% next year. There will be a give and take but their focus seems to be on regulating the exchanges around insider trading and disclosure so it's very "Web3" focussed which is revealing of how out of touch the Japanese regulators still are. Fingers crossed there is no nonsense like restrictions on self custody or else registering public keys with the authorities etc.

Absolutely. Where did this idea that "God is love" and "all you need is love" come from? I'm guessing Liberal Christianity and the "Social Gospel". Even if you only read the New Testament it's clear that the consequences of sin are dire. And general revelation in nature shows us the world is brutal. Thank God for salvation through faith in Christ alone. And completely underserved to boot. Eternal life and salvation as a free gift! Loving to the elect for sure, but for those not called by grace.... well that is humbling and awe inspiring to consider....

Do you think the answer is Christian Nationalism? I think there needs to be an Anglican church that is the state religion of the USA and UK. (It can be ruled by the Bishops in Washington if you like). They will be responsible for anointing God's representative on Earth which will be the King of England and the US President. There will be freedom of religion to an extent but only protestant Christians will be able to hold high office. Also, non Christians will need to pay additional taxes. Thinking about it I also think only Christian land holding male head of households should get the vote.
Catholics, Mormans, Jehovah's Witnesses will not count as Christians, of course.
It's a LARP to even think about really since I don't see how it can ever happen, but I do think it would be the best possible way forward for both the US and the UK if it could, by some miracle.

The reality is incentives mean that essentially someone has to pay top talent in order to have them take the hit on engagement and post here exclusively. It's like how chess.com became king by paying all the GMs to play there. And since Nostr is just a protocol it means a VC backed app project like Primal would need to do that. But then, since they have no moat in terms of the network it makes little sense to do that. So then maybe Primal would need to look at top talent posting exclusively to Primal's relay or something. And, voila, we've reinvented centralized social media. But without those financial incentives how can we expect content creators to come and post here exclusively? And without moats and ROI how can we expect capital to fund it? Like with Bitcoin, the model needs to work in alignment with human incentives. So, greed has to equal good.
I think that would be fine, actually. Nostr is just like HTTP or TCP/IP. It's just the plumbing. Maybe it will make a better web. I think it will because the public/private key pair and natural fit with Bitcoin help solve the problems of identity and also online micropayments. But the reality is, like with TCP/IP, the apps that make the biggest mainstream impact will be the ones who can make a moat and exploit their user base for maximum profit. So we can expect to see exclusive relays or at the very least proprietary elements in apps which make them sticky. You just can't be pouring millions into a project which someone down the street can then use to bootstrap a competitive service. This is the same reason Coinkite had to make its Coldcard licensing commercially restrictive. The reality of human incentives means that a utopian vision will never and can never be realized. Never.

My rule is that if art depicts a biblical scene, then it's just scripture presented in visual form. It's like a translation, then. It brings the story to life and helps people to become more intimately familiar with the word. I also consider a cross to be acceptable displayed at church or in the home or upon the believer as jewelry, for example. What are your thoughts on elite theory Laser? After reading The Populist Delusion by Neema Parvini I came to the conclusion the world is just a chessboard for elites and counter elites to fight over. The "popular movements" go nowhere without elites because the plebs just want to gril and can't organize and direct energy towards political ends. What is needed for that is sociopaths who live for nothing but power. While the plebs get a voice through this process, that never leads towards utopia because that voice is always coopted by elite interests, which ultimately boil down to controlling and taxing the plebs. That's not to say we don't get momentary relief when a set of counter elites take over. I think life under the Trump regime is objectively better than under Biden/Harris. But still, we should temper expectations. Ultimately, I believe that we live in a fallen world, and our hope must lie in salvation through Christ alone through faith alone by grace alone.

Is "Internet of Agents" going to be the next corporate buzz word? This seems to be an area very relevant to Nostr, Bitcoin, Lightning. I see that the large corporates are ignoring these and doing their usual thing of trying to create their own walled gardens or at least try to capture the protocol / standard to favor their own product lines. If you think Japan is screwed now I've got bad news for you in how I fear it's going to be in 5/10 years time. Japan is already only 30% as productive as California (which has a GDP almost the size of Japan's with 1/3 the population) but I honestly think that is going to sub 10% and fast. The future of Japan has to be either a second Meiji Restoration whereby counter elites embrace US business culture and practices or else full on colonization as US companies swoop in to buy up every Japanese asset with language no longer a barrier as AI makes localization effortless. It's going to be a jaw dropping end to the decade out here.
