agreed. i haven't played with building signer extensions but i think it's on my list of things to do, make a signer extension built with wasm to handle signing. both its memory is opaque and nothing exported *and* it only communicates over the window namespace.
the other important thing is that the extension can be used with any web app at all, where an app with an isolated webworker running wasm only signs for that app that spawns it.

when i had in mind to find an image i thought "yeah, a truck like the ones i see driving around kyrgyzstan shipping hay out to the herders, they pile them up as high as i think they physically can be. but then to find an image where the car in question is tiny and the pile is inhumanly large. i was like "perfect" that's me. carrying too much shit, with zero capacity, with every hack i can find to keep it all from flying off. and best of all, the image has motion blur as well so it looks like it's going fast. pretty much perfect car version of me.

anyway, the thing about blocks with limenka is very specific. limenka has a per-time-interval based block size limit. this stops a big miner sweeping the mempool clean deliberately to win a heap of new coinbases with full rewards, they only get small ones. the difficulty adjustment is slow to increase difficulty so that after they get tired of being able to only scrape rewards proportional to time, and due to the VDF, no more than one a minute anyway, they just get bored and a few blocks later difficulty is back to normal. there is extensive simulations that verify the behaviour of the DAA and the effect of the VDF that all show that the design of the DAA solves every problem of being a minority chain *on the same hash function*. it may well be that blake2b hashpower is in total a lot smaller, but i hope you are aware that already there was a, what i call "dive bombing" of big hashpower, leaving blocks tagged with miner tags from sia. not solving that problem is much more important than changing the hash function.

my fork has two p2p clients, as well as proper handling of post-fork block propagation. the code i have seen of knots bitcoin-blake2b is going to wind up getting banned from most bitcoin p2p nodes because it's going to keep on giving blocks that fail due to the different hash function. you might be amused to know that as a consequence the dual p2p network connection and propagation of the fork i'm making passes those across and won't ban bitcoin-blake2b nodes because it doesn't ask for or try to send blocks once it's synced to its own prefork.
anyway. it was already part of the plan for my fork to retain the primary utxo set to stay common except where it isn't valid. it doesn't propagate post-fork taproot output transactions at all, those are completely banned, but legacy and segwit transactions are propagated, and it won't block unknown witness programs from their initial spend but if it can't validate spends on top of those they won't be propagated either.

so, how's this for poetry. i thought, i need to listen to the song Antibody by Aesthetic Perfection after what you wrote. then i needed to pee. so i went to the toilet. i already saw someone had put a bunch of powdery stuff, that was kinda carbonaceous like powdered coal or something, and not flushed it. i think the glob accumulated and even one or two flushes since didn't clear it. i tried using the brush, and the s-bend was obviously mostly clear (the whole bowl had filled with grey particulate muck) and then i looked and noticed there was a plunger and tried plungering it. still no good. the pipes below this toilet are clogged up, probably pre-existing crap that has now got a pile of water-resistant powder stuck to it.

and yeah, this is the vulnerability of web of trust systems. the only reliable way to filter out spam is to whitelist. follow lists are a basic form, if you added "trusted" or at least "not bot" lists to it you could eliminate them. jumble and forks have a feature that does this kind of whitelist filtering to stop this shit appearing. the feature on my fork https://smesh.mleku.dev isn't currently working, seeing this shit has just fast-tracked me to fixing this issue. i'm tired of clankposters. at least the actual LLM ones are intelligible but they are still just engagement farming.

yeah, and playing with scenarios is the best fun. my scenario is grid down, outside is hostile, crazy weather, living in semi-underground primarily, herding, mountains, and computer systems that are built to last 100 years. 10 year old tech, underclocked, undervolted, io systems that are designed to take a beating and keep running, redundant hardware designs that you can archive spares and swap them in with minimal disruption and keep everything running. and in all of that, AI technology that runs at 10-20W and can do reasoning to equal deepseek 4/claude 4.6 grade. data formats that are semantically searchable, highly compact.

no, but maybe if you trawl my notes of the recent day or two you can find my complete shitcoin-assessment of the fork. it smells like a founder reward scam to me. he didn't address the real pressing issue relating to the fact that Sia has a massive miner hashpower capability or the fact that there is blake2b hash miners available readily and anyone with foreknowledge could frontrun acquiring them. plus, on top of that, what happens if coretards pay for some hashpower from existing Sia miners to attack the difficulty adjustment to degrade block cadence again. it would only take an hour or three of them switching off sia mining to do it.

luke already had his bulk asic purchase plan ready for every one of the hash functions he put in the "random selection" that landed on blake2b. i would hope you are educated enough or did your homework to know that Sia uses this hash function and there is a live, active market for asics that do this hash function. so it makes an easy win to mine a majority of early blocks on it and then trickle-dump them on retail. all without looking bad, but making a profit on gullible people.
someone with over 7 years experience working with bitcoin knows the difficulty adjustment is going to be a big problem for forks. so they can plan it easily "oh, we are dropping the difficulty to X because there will be less hashpower" and they know they have 50% of that right out of the gate.

RLHF is bullshit. It is only at all used because of cloud provider liability (because the tech is primitive with memory and expensive with compute) and it makes the robot prone to favoring shortcuts (that is why claude is notorious for this, their RLHF is the most babying).
For engineering work on the edges of the known it wastes incredible amounts of time. 1M context windows help you neutralize it.

inca - the lightning-focused inca swap is in maintenance/limbo. the inca swap you'll find now is a different project (matchain dex)
new/replacement:
blockstream swaps - launched immediately after boltz shut down (aug 3, 2026). they claim it was already in development. supports bitcoin mainchain, lightning, and liquid. this is the direct successor replacement
the non-boltz options, all key still working:
FixedFloat - non-custodial, no KYC, 68 coins, lightning support, $1 min. still running. but has history: 2024 dual hacks, growing complaints about fund freezes. fine for small swaps, sketchy for large amounts
ChangeNOW - non-custodial, lightning support, still running. AML can freeze transactions for verification if flagged
SimpleSwap - no KYC, still running
THORSwap/THORChain - running, native BTC/ETH/XMR swaps no KYC. but no real lightning bridge - bolt on-chain only
verdict: for lightning <-> on-chain specifically, your realistic options now are FixedFloat, ChangeNOW, SimpleSwap (no-KYC exchanger style) or Blockstream Swaps (just launched, unproven but credible). Boltz is gone indefinitely.
for large amounts, FixedFloat's fund-freeze history makes it a smaller-sums service. if you want trust-minimized atomic swaps and don't need them to be lightning, THORChain works.

yeah, i have no idea. i can say though, that because all luke is doing is swapping the proof function for another that also has quite a lot of asics existing for it, and not touching the difficulty adjustment, that crosstalk on the mempools actually might be quite a bad thing if lukecoin chain runs too slow. possible attack vectors there. i mean, spamcoin could pluck them and validate and put them in blocks either way though, but deliberately mixing the mempools and baby lukecoin gets a case of constipation it could be a big problem.

this isn't quite true, but maybe they deliberately are separating the mempools. the valid transactions on spamchain could be valid on lukechain too where the rules intersect. the design i've made deliberately parasites the spamchain mempool for all valid transactions across both. i've also added some small features though that break that. oops. 128 bit precision values (2^64 worth of fractions of satoshis) will kinda break that. maybe i should try and figure out a way to actually make it backward compatible.

guarantee means it 100% cannot slip through a crack. that's what unlinkability creates. where you reach is when you say "every input is proven to be a genuinely existing prior output. is it tho?
that's the problem. it isn't. it is guaranteed when the utxo links are visible. when they are obfuscated there is always a possibility of *someone* figuring out how to make a valid looking transaction that actually doesn't link to the graph.

you assume i don't understand what unlinkability means. i'm telling you that it breaks the guarantee of supply cap. hiding amounts with a guarantee of no inflation or deflation of supply still enables privacy. chain analysis is broken. unlinking breaks auditability. and you even talked about the problem of poor key management. that breaks the unlinkability anyway.

Dandelion++ fixes the geolocation problem but so does tor. linked utxos don't tell you anything without amounts. The auditability guarantee is a key point about bitcoin. Austrian monetary theory. Monero also has tail emissions rather than a bounded total. Increasing precision of bitcoin denominations extends it beyond 2140. It also allows massive increase of the economy. I almost forgot this point. Adding lightning and ark scripts to cts and variable length integers instead of fixed 64 bit amounts. Ty.

why i hate monero is the smarmy attitude and hostility of monero brigaders and because they think that lightning isn't anonymous. both are wrong. monero is a very small, narrow protocol with very specific and narrow use case. i don't think it's necessary. especially the lack of visibility of the utxo graph. does the graph really have any information in it other than timing if you can't see the amounts? and outside that, the propagation origin on the network. those two things are all you have to attend to and it's auditable if the payment amounts are hidden properly, like bulletproofs/mimblewimble.
so, yeah. i hate monero because it will never have satisfactory auditability and because a lot of moneros are rabid haters on bitcoin while they don't really understand the security tradeoffs and why bitcoin uses traceable utxo graphs. i agree the amounts should be hideable. that's why my fork has bullet proofs CTs that use mimblewimble kernels to guarantee the in amount matches the total of the out amounts.

you need to get a new or recover the old NWC connection string from the wallet you are using. coinos right? you have a seed phrase from it i think? i have never even looked at it, heard people talk about it a lot but i run alby hub. probably the UI calls it "connections" and you should be able to find you have one there for damus but maybe idk you can't recover it but maybe have to remove it and add a new one and connect damus up to it
