Related advice I give to anybody who will listen: create a unique email address for each vendor with whom you do business, preferably using a syntax that allows for data leak detection and a random token, such as `pornhub-rksufi837@domain.tld`. This allows easy rejection of junk when the vendor inevitably loses control of their database.
