HEALTH FROM THE START – In Mali, medical care is often out of reach, especially in rural areas. At the health center we built in Sébénikoro, families receive the support they need: preventive checkups, vaccinations, and medical advice.
Every measurement, every vaccination, every entry in the health record is a step for children towards growing up healthy. It means safety and care for the kids; trust and support for the mothers. 💛

Curious to learn about our projects in Argentina? Our Argentine partner regularly organizes cooking workshops for children. The children mainly learn how to prepare everyday meals and classic Argentine dishes. From time to time, sweets are prepared, much to the delight of the children.

ECUADOR – Our project PADE (Para dar esperanza) literally stands for giving hope.
In a particularly poor neighborhood of the capital Quito, our non-profit partner organization has been running a care center for children and young people from the neighborhood for more than 10 years.
As the pictures show, PADE plays an important role in the children's lives. After school, they receive help with homework, age-appropriate leisure activities, a safe space for meeting and interacting, and for many, the only warm meal of the day. A dedicated team looks after, teaches and cooks for the children and young people. All good reasons to support this great project!

Heute sind wir auf eine TV-Reportage von Hamburg 1 aus dem Jahr 2013 gestoßen. Über 10 Jahre alt und trotzdem noch aktuell.
Mehrere Putsche, der Austritt aus der westafrikanischen Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft ECOWAS, bewaffnete Konflikte im Norden und in der Mitte, Terroranschläge, Dürren, Ernteausfälle und steigende Lebensmittelpreise: Die Menschen in Mali leben weiter in Unsicherheit. Genau hier übernehmen wir als Kinderhilfswerk Eine Welt seit 50 Jahren Verantwortung.
Unsere Geschichte in Mali begann mit der Unterstützung des 𝐙𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐬 𝐟ü𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐠 (𝐂𝐑𝐇𝐏) in Bamako - bis heute ein fester Teil unserer Arbeit. Später kam der jährliche Container mit medizinischem Material und Schulbedarf dazu. 1978 folgte unsere erste große Hilfsaktion: 1,5 𝐌𝐢𝐨. 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐟𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐥ä𝐡𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐠 für Mali und Senegal.
Seitdem: 23 𝐆𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧, ü𝐛𝐞𝐫 36 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐥𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐤𝐭𝐞, der APDF-Kindergarten, das Institut für Blinde U.M.AV., und viele weitere lokale Partnerschaften. Immer 𝐠𝐞𝐳𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐭, 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐤𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐦 𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐯𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐫𝐭.

🇩🇪 Hallo NOSTR!
Wir sind das Kinderhilfswerk Eine Welt e.V. oder kurz: KHW, eine gemeinnützige Kinderrechtsorganisation aus Hamburg. Seit 1975 setzen wir uns für Bildung, Gesundheit und gerechtere Zukunftschancen für Kinder, Jugendliche und Familien weltweit ein, aktuell u. a. in Mali, Nepal, Argentinien, Ecuador, Ruanda und Südafrika.
⚡️ Ab sofort akzeptieren wir Bitcoin-Spenden. Als erste deutsche Kinderrechtsorganisation auf NOSTR freuen wir uns auf Austausch, Zaps und Ideen aus der Community.

tausend Dank für's Testen! Wir haben die Einstellung nun nochmal über die mobile App ergänzt. Vorher hatte es die über die Desktop-Versionanscheinend nicht korrekt übernommen. Aber jetzt scheint es zu klappen! 🎉

Vielen Dank, Nicole! Deine Worte haben uns, nach Monaten der Vorbereitun, wirklich tief berührt. 💛 Dein Podcast, dein Newsletter und dein Engagement sind uns in der Auseinandersetzung mit Bitcoin eine große Hilfe. Du schaffst es, komplexe Themen greifbar und menschlich zu vermitteln.
Wir sind noch ganz am Anfang und tasten uns Schritt für Schritt in die Bitcoin-Welt vor. Dabei lernen wir täglich dazu, manchmal mit rauchendem Kopf, aber immer mit Neugier und Freude an dem, was vor uns liegt.
