Even though bitcoin hit new all-time highs this week, its dominance has been on the decline since peaking at over 70%. Ethereum has sprung to life after bottoming against BTC (ETHBTC) in early May. This dynamic happens in every crypto cycle though, where bitcoin sheds dominance but continues to go up in price. Historically, bitcoin’s price and the cycle have peaked when bitcoin’s dominance is around 40%. Given that we are still at 60%, it still seems like a ways to go for bitcoin and the cycle.

You can never actually see the ‘big picture.’ Instead, you look at statistics, such as GDP growth, unemployment, and inflation, that are supposed to describe it. But often, they are more fraud than fact. GDP figures count government spending as ‘output.’ But the more resources consumed by government, the less real wealth—valuable goods and services – are available for everyone else.

The current unfunded liabilities number is $159 trillion. Unfunded liabilities are the future obligations of the US government. The government has promised to pay these bills but they have not yet been billed (or funded.) The big share of these future obligations are Medicare and Social Security. (Both of which are hard debts that will grow at least as fast as the CPI, meaning they cannot be inflated away.) The governments promise is now impossible to keep. It's breaking now. Prepare accordingly.

I would have to disagree with you. I have 6 miners hosted with a small family run operation in Iowa. I would have to pay .50 per kHh at my home. That makes running my hardware at home unreasonable with BTC prices at 62K. I pay .07 per kWh with the team in Iowa. I can point my hash power anywhere I want.

I buy mine every summer at the lowest price. Only the locals do, with a few exceptions. In my first 2 days on the hill my pass is covered. I only buy for Kirkwood as that's the only place I go. I gets lots of free passes to go other places in the area but rarely use them. Life is good.
