For a lot of the questions in the world already, no new research is required. We know the answers. But it’s lost, ignored, suppressed and/or forgotten. Or over complicated to a point where simple truths are missed. What can be frustrating to many is when science does have the answer on a subject but it’s not what people want to hear and nobody is incentivized to listen.

Our time on this world is sacred. We don’t always control what we need or can do with it every day. Instead of thinking about the dream to 100% control your time I also think another question is when you do have to use your time to do something you don’t want to do or feel like doing, are you making the right trade offs for your future? Our you exchanging this suffering for something meaningful and lasting? Can you trust your present day work will matter in the future or be inflated away? Or are you trading your time instead fleeting pleasure which cannot be captured. Or meaningless efforts which will forever be untouched, unopened, unnoticed or could be deleted by anyone.
Here at least I can own my thoughts and host them on my own server. It is difficult for them to be deleted. Uncensored speech. #bitcoin #nostr

I see it taking decades to correct unfortunately- it will just take consistent education and that should motivate policy makers and people to wake up and see what is happening that most chronic disease is reversible through diet and lifestyle. Lots of incentives working against this however including the interaction between doctors, pharma, government and fiat money. So much of the economy profits off people getting chronic disease and RCT trials are expensive and mostly pharmaceutical funded. It’s going to take a grass roots approach which should reach a breaking point in the coming years hopefully but people also need to want to help themselves .. it will be even more difficult than getting people to stop smoking.. its so pervasive in our culture to eat like shit, take drugs, not be active and live a stressed lifestyle, avoid the sun, get shitty sleep so much needs to change. At a scientific level funding needs to come from other places than just pharma and government. Hopefully some rich bitcoiners will help with this and other foundations which operate outside the system. I think people are waking up tho and social media influencers actually help there’s a ton of high quality information out there already from many smart ppl. It’s just up to people to listen.. bees don’t waste their time to tell flies not to eat shit they just go about their day eating nectar and pollen. In the same way it’s hard to convince someone to change their habits.

If the solution to fixing our broken fiat financial system didn't come from academia, why do people think investing in fiat funded academic research is going to do anything to solve the obesity, health and chronic disease crisis. So many preventable diseases due to diet and lifestyle. It's all broken incentives. Answers will come from outside, they already are. Just most people aren't listening.

I literally just posted and discovered this got me so triggered I knew it was probably everywhere but didn't realize the FDA mandate. It's unfathomable the damage currently being done to millions of babies drinking this garbage.

Do babies really crave processed seed oils extracted from plants, oxidized, deodorized and something that literally didn't even exist in our diets 150 years ago never mind exists in any other animal diet except our pets who we feed

How many things in this world are the same as the logic of Gatorade being fed to plants in idiocracy.. it’s what plants crave! Of course. Why question it?
I would say more and more than people realize.
First example coming across today in the field of nutrition. FDA mandates children should drink processed, factory made vegetable oils in their formula or it’s illegal to sell. Raw milk allowed for babies though and outlawed for adults?
Societal madness.
It’s hard to change people’s minds but it makes me sad the next generation is being fed pure garbage.

Hello nostr community. This is my hello world speech- long time bitcoiner and working on a small scale Bitcoin mining project in the east coast of Canada. Current academic scientist studying diet, lipids and inflammation in autuoimmune diseases. I love science and am a very curious person, lifelong learner but definitely fed up with fiat science and the skewed incentives of academia.
Joining up to see what all this is about. I do worry it's an echo chamber here of voices and opinions I already am well versed with. Here to learn but also thinking about the long term.
In 100 years from now who will own my information? What will my kids think that I thought? Centralized control of language and verification of authenticity will become a real problem. This seems to me to be the beginning of a very big thing.
It's my hope here I can document my thoughts and beliefs for many generations to come. Hopefully can add in some useful notes and information for others.
Just another Bitcoin pleb staying humble and stacking sats.
