Good point on the security. I will have to look into that further. What is (too) insecure is also a question of your threat model and risk evaluation.
GrapheneOS undoubtedly take security very serious, but to the extent that they will lockstep their support to Google's hardware end of support date. That means you will still have to get an expensive new phone to get a decent time of use whereas my Linux devices are safe enough on wildly outdated and unsupported hardware.

Okee en de volgende mobiele telefoon wordt dus ook geen OnePlus meer, want die probeert ook meerdere keren per minuut het moederschip te pingen dat ie er nog is.
Dus tzt maar eens kijken hoe ver je komt met een PostmarketOS, Graphene of Murena telefoon tegenwoordig.
Kan niet iemand een wet maken dat banken, DigiD, etc. verplicht open source compatible apps moeten maken?

het gaat me niet zozeer over de omvang, maar het bedrag.
6800 euro plus, zeg, 1500 euro transport, plus 27% importheffing... dan kom ik op 10.500 euro. Wat me een prima prijs lijkt voor zo'n autootje en waarmee we mooi woonwerk elektrisch kunnen maken. Zelfs als ik er 21% btw bij reken, blijf de prijs onder de 13K. En met vast bpm voor EVs nog geen 13.5K.
Waar komt die extra 10K in de prijs vandaan en waar gaat ie naar toe?

Zojuist een oude dame die op straat verloren liep bij het sociale loket van de gemeente naar binnen geholpen. Ze wist niet dat het bestond.
Het is heftig lieve mensen, waar je als oude alleenstaande tegenaan loopt als je niet over meer technologische vaardigheden beschikt dan opbellen met een telefoon.
Een geblokkeerde pinpas is dan onoplosbaar, zeker in een dorp zonder bankfiliaal. De dichtstbijzijnde is zo'n 12 km verderop. Regel dat maar zonder familie of vrienden of eigen vervoer als 80+.

It was a bit of trial and error and websearching, but Kdenlive motion tracker is cool! You can have it track something automatically, copy all the keyframe information and then apply it to any effect that has keyframes! Once you understand that, it's easy.

Aan onze 'smart' tv (ook al weer wat ouder) zit al jaren geen internet meer en we gebruiken hem alleen om andere apparaten weer te geven. De KPN mediabox, game consoles, etc. Er zitten niet alleen allemaal algoritmen in die TV's, je wordt ook nog eens eindeloos getrackt en je krijgt extra reclame.

Yep, annoying and dumb. Browser zoom is way more reliable and browsers keep the zoom setting for each domain, so ctrl+= may be the easier route.

We do too much thinking nowadays. For a long time our bodies and minds developed for walking some in the forest, tending a flock of sheep on the fields, maybe a couple of hours or days of heavy work, like chopping wood, cooking, talking, singing, etc. Whenever I do just manual labor outside, my body is tired, but not my mind. And the more actual work I do, the more my body attunes and the quicker I recover.

@npub17fe…w0a6 Interesting seeing you starring my toot. I know, not necessarily endorsement, but as someone who runs a company and necessarily, because of that, making money in this space. I've been on both sides (making collaborative open source product as civil servant and then making it fly commercially, quite successfully), but I'm back at being a government employee. I was done watering down every decision and every bit of public value for shareholder gain.
