I'm on the board of the local historical society on an unbridged island in Maine, three miles long and one mile wide. I'm told the forest fire plan is:
1 the town siren will go off in a special pattern
2 the guy with a bulldozer will create a one-mile-long, ten-yard-wide firebreak from shore to shore

I bought *frozen* brussel sprouts and it turns out they have a mushy texture. What can I do with them so that the texture isn't off-putting? Cabbage soup maybe? But even in soup I usually just saute cabbage, I don't boil it for hours until it's limp. Maybe a cream of cabbage soup?

I'm amazed that the top quintile's household income seems to be only four times the lowest quintile's.... I would have expected even wider disparities.

Why is the ratio between the with and without children percentages so different between the different quintiles? Did they take into account different patterns of household size between quintiles? Or maybe households with children are have lower income, within each quintiles, and the effect is stronger in the lower quintiles?

Only a very small proportion of Medline records have subject indexing about population groups. If you had asked me to estimate before I actually checked, I would have expected it to be much higher.

Evidence synthesis, bibliometrics, scientometrics, metaresearch -- as long as you care about transparency, I'm interested
Especially if you are using non-subscription resources because you are based in the global south, or you're an independent scholar
